  14. I have been a STNA for almost 5 years and have never done post mortem care. I have taken care of the dying who did pass the shift after me and I have helped with others but have not done it myself.
  15. Sorry that no one has called you. When I applied at my work I just kept calling every week to see if there was an opening yet. It took me a month or two but I didn't apply to anywhere else. I hope you get into somewhere soon!
  16. Happy STNA/CNA Week. Today at my work they threw us a luncheon and gave us all a gift.

  21. A few weeks ago State was in. Didn't really bother me, I've been there 3 yrs now and have never been stopped and asked questions by the inspectors. Well back to the reason of this post, we got a perfect score! We've always done good, just a few minor things but its been a few years since we had a perfect score. Just wanted to post abut it. Amber
  22. When using a hoyer and you dont have the pad that goes from head to thigh, just the one that wraps around the legs and it looks like the resident is going to fall through. I had to use one of those when I first started. Scarred me to death that the resident could fall out but I know that if used right it wouldn't but it still looks bad.
