Hi, I am a military wife and was planning to take the excelsior program for RN after I get my LPN and am just wondering if there is a list somewhere of the states that are OK with excelsior grads? It would be really helpful and I haven't been able to find a list online. Thanks!

Thank you for the reply, sorry it took me so long to write back my computer crashed and haven't been able to post. I did take the CAT test a couple of weeks ago and got a 197 which I am happy with since I didn't get to finish one of the math sections. I have an interview this week, I heard that the math quiz is mostly fractions is there anything else I should study up on? Also can you tell me what kind of questions to expect? Thanks again!

Thanks for the quick replys!, I have one more question about this program, there are 2 lpn programs in my area, one at the technical college, and the other is through the local hospital, would the WIA cover the cost of the hospital program? Or does anyone know how hard it is to get the hospital scholarship? I didn't qualify for any financial aid, my husband is in the military and on the application we had to report all his extra stuff like housing allowance ect. so on paper it looks like we make a lot more, but I am going to have to pay for child care while going to school and it's not like there will be any more income coming in while doing it. Anyone have any suggestions on any of this? Thanks!

Hi, does anyone know if you have to be accepted to a program before you can apply for WIA? I am trying to get into either a hospital lpn program or one at the tech school. I just wanted to know if I would be waisting my time to try and get the ball rolling on this. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I just found about this program, I was planning on going to the program at Tennessee Tech in knoxville, but now I am interested in this program because of the scholarship possibility, does anyone have any advice. I don't qualify for financial aid would that disqualify me from the scholarship? Anyone know what the comparrison is for these two programs and what test they have at Blount?
