Hello everyone,
I just wanted to submit this here to start a place where all of us who have applied to Stanford's nurse residency program can communicate. This is for cohort 39, which has a start date of August 21, 2023. I hope we all get in!
I was wondering if anyone knows anyone who has gone through the program or has heard anything trustworthy about the new grad program? When I brought up that I was applying to peers some of them said they had heard mixed reviews about working in the hospital and now I'm getting a little stressed about accepting if I get that far. Wondering if anyone has any insight ? congrats to everyone getting interviews!

I have heard that it is difficult to get skills down (like IVs) especially in the ED because there are a lot of medical students who need to complete those skills and they get priority before us. But that's all I've heard about working there.

Mine is at the beginning (interviewing for ED), but a friend of mine is near the end of the alphabet and got her ICU invite the same day I did. There's still plenty of time though - I wouldn't lose hope just yet!

I would wait until they are done sending out interview emails. You don't want to appear as though you are not grateful for your current interview. It may put a bad taste in their mouth. They were clear that not everyone will get their first choice. And, you may yet still get an interview with ICU.

I got the same email. It's confusing.
