Stanford Nurse Residency August 2023 Cohort 39

Published

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to submit this here to start a place where all of us who have applied to Stanford's nurse residency program can communicate. This is for cohort 39, which has a start date of August 21, 2023. I hope we all get in!

Thanks for creating! I was actually just about to do the same. Good luck all!

Does anyone have access to their application after submitting? It prompted me to create an account AFTER I completed the application, but my application doesn't show on my account. I did receive email confirmation that my application was received though...

After submitting and then creating the account, I was able to see the application submission in my candidate profile. However, it was loading in a half complete sort of way.

I thought I might've forgotten to attach my resume + CV, so I withdrew my application to try to resubmit... not sure now if I can resubmit since it flags me as "you've already submitted an application." Anyone have this issue? ?

@Goodhopes it seems like after you submit and go back to check your documents, only a few of them pop up even though you attached everything. Maybe create a whole new profile to submit a new app if it doesn't let you resubmit? That's the only thing I can think of

Does anyone here also see only one of their additional documents when they view their submitted application? I attached my Resume and Cover Letter as one document and my school transcript separately but can only see my Resume/Cover letter attachment and not my transcript. Kinda paranoid now that I didn't attach it even though I know I did ?

Same thing happened to me. I think it just looks incomplete on our end, but I did speak with Stanford and they said all documents have been received.

Hi,

Thank you for starting this! How long is everyone's resumes looking in terms of length? I know in the webinar they said as long as you'd like. Mine is about 1 1/4 pages long...

I didn't even notice that there was a webinar posted on the site. That would have been helpful to watch. Our instructors drilled it into us that it should be 1 page, so mine is only 1 page. I definitely missed a few points though, like including references on the resume and including all volunteer experience no matter how old.

Mine is only 1 page. I'm a nurse extern and my Patient care Director advised me to keep it 1 page! I created a separate resume/ CV for school curriculum, location and hours

I also didn't add references on the resume itself since they had a separate box to fill out with references!

For your separate resume for Stanford, did you just follow what they wanted such as Education, Clinical Rotations, Work Experience/Military Experience, Volunteer Experience, Internship, and References? Im debating if I should keep my licenses and certificate on it because there was also a separate box on the electronic application that covers it.
