Hi All! This question is a bit premature, but I like to be prepared.

I am a baby student nurse, I start in Fall 2023. I am VERY interested in applying for the Stanford Nurse Residency Program when I graduate. My brother was treated at Stanford for cancer for the last 4 years and unfortunately lost his battle recently. This has significantly increased my interest in working there. So, my question is what are the main qualities/characteristics do they look for when hiring RNs for the program?

Is there anyone on this forum that is currently in the program or was in the past and can give me advice? Maybe some insight on your GPA, volunteer experience, etc? Anything you wish you would have done differently? I just want to know how to best spend my next two years in school to prepare to be the best candidate possible.
