Stanford New Graduate RN Residency Program Summer 2015

U.S.A. California

I didn't see this topic on here yet so I thought I would start one! Has anyone heard anything about interviews for the Stanford New Grad RN program yet? What units are you interested in?

Pizzaman25 what a nightmare for your classmates! I hope they all get it worked out soon. Thanks for the luck I'm so nervous, will be leaving soon eek! Anyway I too have been doing Kaplan, just Qbank - I didn't go to their classes - & a couple of test bank phone apps. My SATA statistics are not good and I keep hearing we are to expect a lot of those. My inability to do well on those is fueling most of my nervousness right now but I am finding comfort in the fact that 85% of us will pass the first time. I can't wait for this to be over!

To anyone who interviewed today. How'd it go? :)

Pretty straight-forward. They try to keep the mood light in the room because they know everyone is nervous. They'll call on Friday to let you know if you're moving on to the next round. If not, you'll get an email.

I interviewed today also and everyone in my group rocked! The standard is definitely high and I think the questions reflected that. I agree with Greyiris34 that for the most part the questions were straightforward but one of our group must've got the short end of the stick as she got a couple of gnarly ones. Good luck to everyone who made it this far and hopefully Greyiris34, we'll both get calls on Friday!

I definitely hope so too!!

If you haven't gotten a chance to drive to the building, I would definitely go check it out. The map is very accurate, but the address (if you put it into Maps/Google Maps) takes you to the far edge of the complex and the parking lots do not connect.

Any news yet? Any calls or emails sent to anyone yet?

Yes!!!!! I got the call this morning!!! I'm so excited I don't know what to do with myself!!

I got a call too! So excited!!!

I got a call like an hour ago! I've been awake since 5 am waiting. HAHAH. What units are you guys interviewing for?

She said it so fast I was frantically trying to write it down. Lol. I'll be interviewing with 3: neurology IICU/Neuro Surgery, IICU, and Coranary ICU or CCU not sure which one she said. I was too excited to ask.

Got called around 11! My mind/body woke me up at 630, so it was quite a long wait. I've interviews with the Coronary Care Unit (D1) and Bone Marrow Transplant! They were my top picks so I am beyond excited!

Ahh. Do we just wait for the managers to contact us now to set up times?
