I didn't see this topic on here yet so I thought I would start one! Has anyone heard anything about interviews for the Stanford New Grad RN program yet? What units are you interested in?

xx_remix, BSN Mine said "in review" since the day I submitted the app. But the date changed to 6/15 then I got a call. I don't think mine ever said "in process." I didn't check too often, maybe like 3x a week.

Yayyy! Congratss pizza 24! The same thing happened to me when I got a call on Tuesday. She didn't reach me at first, but left me a voicemail. It was so early in the morning (around 7:30ish, and I was asleep), but I callled her back when I woke up a couple hours later and she didn't answer. I called like 3X and left a message. But she called me back the next day :D The interview dates are July 21, 22, and 23rd.

Okay then. I don't want to seem stalker-like by calling her too many times. Ha. :D I'll just wait until Monday and stick to my phone like glue.

I guess I'll see you guys on those interview days! I haven't heard much about their interview process.

Man I've been checking everyday to see if my status has changed and it still says in process. ): it's going to be a loooong weekend waiting until I can call HR again.

please keep your fingers crossed for me.

So for those of you holding out one last bit of hope, apparently there is an alternate list that they are using to fill in spots vacated by people who have already accepted positions elsewhere!

So aside from prepping for this interview next week, I just got my ATT today!! I am stressed out that we have to sit for nclex by July 28th, do you think they will make exceptions, I can't even find any test dates available in California (within 3 hours of Bay Area), I registered for testing on July 29th, do you think they will be okay with that? My other worry is not passing it, has anyone crammed for nclex in a week and a half and passed it? I also work full time but I am thinking of taking a week off to study but I don't have much time left. Any advice on this?

TIA :)

@chilipepper554 When did you submit all of your paperwork to the BRN? Just wondering how long it is taking them- I submitted mine a week ago and am not sure how long to expect. Thank you!

I submitted all of my BRN docs in April 16th. So it took them 3 months exactly! Hope yours doesn't take that long. Are you interviewing for Stanford?

Oh my goodness, that sure is a long time! I can't imagine having to wait that long while trying to focus your studies when you don't even know when you are taking the test. I have a job in Southern California starting next month and they accept Interim Permits luckily. Good luck with your interview!

I am not sure how strict they are with their deadline of actually sitting and taking the NCLEX, but usually you need to have your license posted 2 weeks before the start date which is end of August? So this may buy you some time.

You could also keep checking pearson vue for test dates, there are always last minute cancellations so more slots may open up!

Good luck!

Take a deep breath Chilipepper554 you are OK! Stanford is aware of the difficulties of getting your NCLEX done within the time frame & I've heard they are very understanding of the fact that there will be some who won't quite make the 28th. As long as you're very close to it I'm sure it will be OK - if it was some time mid Aug they might not be. If it makes you feel better I'm cramming up a storm here & am nervous that I haven't prepared for my interview next week, my NCLEX is tomorrow, so I have the weekend to pull it out for Stanford, wish me luck!

Positivepwr: Good luck on your NCLEX tomorrow! I have mine next week, and I'm antsy to get it over with. What have you been using to prepare for the NCLEX? I've been relying mainly on Kaplan, but I don't feel it provides enough practice for SATA questions.

I have a friend who got a job offer from Lucille Packard, and she's been calling the BRN non-stop regarding her ATT, only to find out that they lost her Exam ID form. This prompted a bunch of my classmates to call the BRN, and their forms have been lost as well. Dealing with them can be a nightmare, and hopefully that's something that hospitals understand. :\
