Stanford New Graduate RN Residency Program Summer 2015

U.S.A. California

Published

I didn't see this topic on here yet so I thought I would start one! Has anyone heard anything about interviews for the Stanford New Grad RN program yet? What units are you interested in?

Called a friend of a friend... word spreads quickly! Still crossing all my fingers and toes.

I'm hoping I get a call, and that I get my ATT too. ):

xx_remix Try calling and hitting "6" for tech support. Tell them that there is something wrong with what you are seeing on your Breeze acct. Sometimes they're nice and will look at all the back end stuff and let you know your status.

Good Luck Greyiris34, I'll cross a couple of toes for you, my fingers are already taken! Any body else out there who got the call today?

@ Greyiris34: Thank you! Should I contact the BRN from the Breeze website?

There's a general BRN number, but if you hit 6 when you get to the first menu, it takes you to the "Breeze Support" people instead of having to wait for 30+ min to get someone on the phone from BRN. They can also transfer you internally, so you'll get answered sooner.

Anyone know how many people they are interviewing and for how many spots? TIA :)

I've heard that in the past they usually interview 80 people for about 12-15 spots

Oh great! No pressure then!

Any updates? This is giving me silent anxiety.

Out of curiosity, if anyone doesn't mind sharing, did you have previous hospital work experience?

I'm sure there are others feeling the same way you are xx_remix, & yes I have very minimal hospital work experience as a lowly lab tech which I doubt has very little bearing on my getting the call. Do you have a competitive GPA and resume and did you answer the essay question fully? This is a position for new grads so I think those are the things that count here. Good Luck and remember, until you get the rejection email you're still in the game

Thank you for the positive vibes/power.

My GPA at application was 3.79-.89 I believe (graduated magna cum laude). I've been working as an extern/PCA for a year and a half. I'm not sure how well I did on the essay though, and I feel writing is my weak spot. I haven't gotten a rejection letter (or at least I can't find one in my email), so I'm trying to have hope but don't like getting my hopes up.

I know it is very competitive, and I wish everyone good luck. It's such a great opportunity, its exciting and nerve racking.
