I just read on the Stanford career site that as of today they are taking applicants for a new RN training program and I have read that many of you are looking for such programs.
Good Luck!!
iPhoneuser,
I had a classmate who was in the same boat as you. She called the same recruiter who interviewed her on the phone. The recruiter immediately checked her file and told that she was rejected, so I dont see any harm in calling and finding out. From my view, I dont think it will hurt even if they plan to call someone for a panel interview. If you are on the accepted list they will tell you right away and you should expect a call from them soon. I know exactly how you feel. I was telephone interviewed sometime in December and when I did not hear from them for almost a month, I thought I was rejected. I called them and they told me that I was not in the rejected list ( which was a good sign). They also said this did not mean that I would be called for a panel interview, but eventually they did. Hope this helps !
Congrats to the people who landed an interview.Do you know if there is still a chance some of us will still get a panal interview?
I know some people got a sorry email.
I haven't and hope I do get one so I can stop thinking that I have a chance.
I'm sure my nervousness on my phone interview didn't help me but I only hope my resume can
still help me land an interview.
The silence of the recruiter threw me off.
Live and learn.
Anyways what do you think?
Is there still hope?
Should I follow up with them today?
Would it hurt to follow up or break my chances for a panel?
Thanks
try checking your status today on their website, mine changed today to "sorry not selected" but I didn't get an email.
Also, the recruiter was very silent when I did my phone interview too. It is not a bad sign. This is their job and they want you to talk so they can assess. They are only listening since they want to hear you talk and also check your critical thinking and communication skills. Goodluck !!!
Ugggh my stomach hurts thank you bbabu and hatingthewaiting.
I was way to nervous.
Advise to all for anyone who may receive a call with suspicion of a recruiter calling, run to a quiet spot away from distractions.
Usually do my important call outside but it was raining. lol
Again, thank you for the replies and the reassurance. :)
I haven't even gotten my ATT yet let alone taken the N-CLEX. Even though my class finished finals December 21st and all grades were posted by the 23rd, the registrar didn't issue our statement of graduation until TODAY (January 25th). They're overnighting my transcripts to the CA Board, but there's a good chance I won't get a testing date until mid-FebruaryOur entire graduating class is up in arms because we may have to drop out of the running for March 1st start dates if the paperwork isn't processed quickly. The bureaucracy of it all is absurd.
Hi, I finished December 20th as well but I was able to sign up for my test on 12/31. I took the NCLEX last Friday. By the end of Decemeber I had received a letter from the BRN saying they still needed my transcripts and proof of degree but that doesn't keep you from taking the test. My whole class was up in arms about it too until we realized we could still sign up.
I went to pearsonvue.com and followed the prompts to create an account and paid the $200 for the NCLEX-RN. Once I paid I logged back into my account and selected my testing site and date. Within a few minutes I was emailed my ATT. I plugged in my ATT and was good to go. Be warned that your info that you provide pearsonvue must match exactly to that you gave to the BRN otherwise it won't send you the ATT.
Good luck!
To those who interviewed today, how was the interview in general? is it mostly clinical scenarios or situational/ behavioral. I am getting really nervous, cant wait to be done ! Any tips or suggestions?
Thanks for the well wishes earlier. Don't worry about the interview. It was pretty relaxed and behavioral type questions.
Good luck!
Sadly, that didn't work for me. Everything except my transcript was in the hands of the CA Board before Christmas and I registered with PearsonVue before New Years, yet my Pearson Vue status still says "New", I haven't gotten my ATT, and can't do anything further towards testing.I went to pearsonvue.com and followed the prompts to create an account and paid the $200 for the NCLEX-RN. My ATT, as well as that of my classmates, was not emailed to us until we were actively in the process of registering for a specific test site and date. Once you log into you personal pearsonvue page (using the log in name and password they sent you in the "NCLEX Registration Acknowledgement" email), when you click "Register" on the left, it doesn't allow you to start the scheduling process? That seemed to be what tipped of the BRN system to email us our ATTs because we all received ours within minutes of doing that. And I am sure ours transcripts had not been received by the end of December so it seems strange that it would hold you back.
One classmate wasn't able to and it turned out it was because the email she provided to the BRN was different than the one she gave Pearson. Once she cleared that up, she was able to sign up right away.
I'm sorry of I am repeating things you have already tried. Just thought I'd throw it it there because I know how terrible that feeling of waiting is. Good luck!
Stanford called me today for the panel interview Thursday morning. I agree with the idea to try to find a quiet spot. I could barely understand what the recruiter was saying. Thank God she emailed me where I need to go. Anyway, nervous as hell!!! Also how many reference letters did you or are you going to give them? I'm sure they don't want novels. About the NCLEX. If you feel that it's been too long since you heard from the BRN go in person to Sacramento. That's what I did, and they gave me a name and a phone nr from a case manager and they were able to find my paperwork. First they thought they didn't get it. So, be proactive and the only way to get them to do something for you is to go in person there. Good luck to everyone and don't worry if you haven't heard anything, they are still calling people so be patient.
