Stanford New Grad program

I just read on the Stanford career site that as of today they are taking applicants for a new RN training program and I have read that many of you are looking for such programs.

HI Decnewgrad, I have applied to Stanford as well and i am hoping that they will call me soon. I am guessing you already received a call from them by now. It would be great if you could share what kind of questions you were asked for your telephone interview. Thanks a lot and goodluck to you as well.

Hi decnewgrad,

It would be great if you could share what happened during that phone call. Did they ask you pre-screening questions about yourself, why do you want to work on a certain unit... etc?

For everybody else who applied to Stanford, when did you submit your application?

I would love to share, but they still haven't called back! Going crazy here! I'm going to call and pester them today.

hey NUrsegee, the program opened on 3rd december and i applied on 6th december since i was travelling. I have heard that they close down accepting applications once they get a certain number. what about you when did you apply? goodluck to you as well.

I submitted mine on the 7th. Did anyone precept at Stanford? I really hope things work out for everyone!

I applied on December 5th and got a call tonight which I missed. Gonna call back tomorrow morning! I'll let you guys know how it goes :)

So I talked to a nurse recruiter this morning... really nice lady :)

She asked a few interview style questions and gave me a few minutes to prepare my answers.

She said that there were over 600 applicants and that they are hiring less than 1% of those applicants. Yikes!

Hey I applied on 6th december and i received a call from the Stanford Nurse recruitment this morning. She asked a few basic general questions and the interview was for almost 25 minutes. It is scary!!!. Best of Luck to everyone !

Did he/she state when you might hear back from them regarding further interviewing and moving forward in the process?

YES, she said they will let me know by email in about 2 weeks if i am selected for an in person interview which will be in Second week of January.
