Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for the Stanford Nurse Residency, Cohort 41. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!
Applications open up at 12 am tonight! Good luck to all of us!

I definitely think volunteer experience and internships bring lots of points! from past cohorts, it seems like people who have had some type of nursing internship received an invite.
This is my second time applying. I have about 400 hours of volunteer experience and no internships. I poured my heart into the application questions, focusing on cultural competency since someone from the previous cohort mentioned the importance of cultural background and knowing another language. I have a weak employment history but I explained the reason for it. Still no interview invite! I graduated a year ago, so this is the last time I can apply before I exceed the graduation date cut-off! Staying hopeful though ! 🙂
I did a Summer internship at Kaiser and no invite yet! Fingers still crossed

I don't have my license yet but I did do a nurse externship while in school.

Me too! I know that a lot of the programs have a cut-off of 18 months since you graduated. So far, I have not had the opportunity to start a new grad program. If anyone has advice on where to apply as a new grad or start my career, I would appreciate it. Also, if anyone wants to connect who is in the same situation or just wants to vent on how hard it is to get into a new grad program in the Bay Area, DM me.
Congratulations to those who got interviews! That is so exciting.

Wow that's a lot of internship experience! Sighhh... I don't know what makes a robust application anymore... this program is definitely getting more and more competitive !

I got an interview and do not have my license yet, am in an RN- BSN program (just graduated with my ADN).
I had about only 100 hrs of volunteer, no externship. But this is a second career for me, so I have other experiences on my resume. I assume at that point it's all in the question answers?! Who knows....
