Stanford Health Care Nurse Residency Cohort 41

Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for the Stanford Nurse Residency, Cohort 41. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

Applications open up at 12 am tonight! Good luck to all of us!

I'm curious to those who got an invite for interview - do you guys already have your license? I have not gotten an invite to interview, I was thinking maybe because I do not have my license yet put my place at the bottom of the list. 😞

I have my license and I have not received interview invite

Same, I have my license, BSN, ACLS, BLS, PALS, nihss. No medical background (which doesn't matter if you don't... it does help) based what they said on the seminar. 

Volunteering hours count as points: I have 140 only which I know it's not competitive. Graduated top of my class (1%) however, GPA doesn't matter. Bilingual Spanish/English. I felt like I wrote amazing essays responses (Given I gave it my all and still cry when I read through some answers) I might have been too personal LOL and now hyperventilating that they know a bit much about me and why nursing means so much and that's why I wasn't picked 😞

I just finished my senior preceptorship at Stanford and when asked, 30 was the number that was repeated by the nurses on my unit. I didn't confirm with the program coordinators tho.

how many hours do they want for volunteering? I had 200hr.

No idea! On the seminar a girl (hired) said she had over 1,000 hours!! They kept emphasizing how volunteering hours give a lot of points. Yet, if you didn't have many or none or didn't have externships/internships. That they highly suggested to give it your all on your essay responses.

Got an interview for Medicine Division 2! No license yet coming from a BSN program with only 100 hours of volunteering. I did have an internship though. Good luck everyone!
