Standard Of Nursing For PN 2008

Published

I would like to know what the standard of nursing is for California.

I believe it was 75%, I know that it has changed but what has it changed too? 80-85%

And is California a Compact state yet?

Also, My friends that have taken the test say, that NCLEX hits you with all sorts of things. They say that it is nothing like the test questions on the practice Cd's. If that is the case, what should I be studying?

Thanks a Bunch!

If you are in the US you may find some information on the National Council of State Boards of Nursing site. https://www.ncsbn.org/boards.htm

Each state has rules and regulations and you are required to follow the laws in the state you are working in, no matter where your compact license originated.

Also remember all states are not yet compact states.

You might pass this site's website on to your teachers and classmates. We welcome all people with open arms as long as they are interested in learning all they can about nursing.

Here for example is the NY Board of Nursing (Office of the Professions)

This is not news and is related to PN and across the board. You was initially asking about state standards and moving license about, as was stated there is no standard the way you was asking. The NCLEX is an exam recognised by all the BON's and as long as you meet requirements and have a pass you can endorse from one state to another
