  1. I have had the PPD test for 5 years in a row. This Is my first time where it has a slight pink tinge about 1/2 an inch surrounding the injection site. The only thing different this year is that I am 5 months pregnant. I believe that the only reason for the change is. My immune system has become sightly decreased since getting pregnant or my body would fight off the pregnancy. But who knows. I work in home health and Thank GOD for proper precautions. It has saved me from quite a few things. You never know what people have, I just know that following the rules saves lives.
  2. 12/7/2007 the ncsbn board of directors voted to raise the passing standard for the nclex-pn examination at its meeting on dec. 5-7, 2007. contact: dawn m. kappel director, marketing and communications 312.525.3667 direct 312.279.1034 fax [email protected] for immediate release chicago - the national council of state boards of nursing, inc. 3. That was great!
  4. My teacher is a wonderful teacher. She is very convicted when she speaks about every topic, when it comes to nursing. You know, when your a telamarketer, you have to believe in your product to get it sold. Let me tell you this woman could sell anything when it comes to Nursing. I am more than ok with being wrong. NO ONE is 100% right. I wasn't intending on upsetting anyone. I look up to my teacher and believed what she said, when it came to this. But, when I tried to research it, I couldn't find any info that supported what she was saying. Thats Why I Came here to ask. So, thank you for clarifying everything. I appreciate it. I love this site, And have found so much helpful information here.
  5. Well, thanks for all of your information. :)
  6. If each states standards were all the same. *e.g., Compact states* A nursing licence would be valid in every state, wouldn't it? My teacher speaks of States setting their own standards. She also said that New York, had the highest standards of nursing. Yes, the test is the same, I understand that. But, Nclex no longer will show you your score, they only show you- pass or fail. Maybe it is diffrent in other states. When you apply for a compact licence or a licence in another state, then they will send you your actual score. If it is below the standard of the state(s) that you are applying too, you will be excepted or be refused and have to sit for the nclex again to achieve a higher score. This is what my teacher is telling me. I believe her. If she is wrong, well then she is. I just wanted to know the expectations of each state, but if it is unknown that is ok too.
  7. Hummm. I'm not sure how to explain it. New York, has the higest standards. California is actually pretty low. There are a few states that are lower. Say, I got my licence in New York. They have the highest standard of nursing. I would be able to take my licence any where in the united states because of the standard. I heard california was raising their standard to a higher one. I just wanted to know what is was raised to. So, yes it must be the pass Rate.
  8. I would like to know what the standard of nursing is for California. I believe it was 75%, I know that it has changed but what has it changed too? 80-85% And is California a Compact state yet? Also, My friends that have taken the test say, that NCLEX hits you with all sorts of things. They say that it is nothing like the test questions on the practice Cd's. If that is the case, what should I be studying? Thanks a Bunch! Misty:nuke:
  9. Who is that?
  10. should I not be taking so many tests and just study the books instead? The only problem is I start to blank out after awhile. I can't stay focused.
  11. I have done about 10,000 test questions and I am still doing really poor on the Physiological integrity. How do I change that? I cant possibly know everything. But I know that this is important. Also I am having problems with prioritizing? I understand abc's But there is more to it.
