St. Paul's School of Nursing - Fall 2010 Acceptance

Published

I'm curious if anybody got their acceptance letter yet?

I just recently took my entrance test - it was easy. They changed the test style. After the first test comes the HESI which I know would be more challenging. The name of the entrance test is not DET anymore. It stinks considering on the application packet it says that the test would be DET and even recommended to buy the book guide - I bought it unfortunately. Anyway, anybody applied to other nursing school aside from st.paul's?

Arg anyone waiting for their acceptance letter? What's your GPA? Are you in the morning or evening program?

I took the HESI this morning and just found out that I passed! Now I guess I have to wait for the next step...

I took my HESI a few weeks ago and passed all the sections. I did very good in math, reading comprehension, and grammar. I only got 82 on the vocabulary part so it's pretty low. I'm curious about everyone's score?

Did anyone get their interview yet?

-D

I also took the Hesi a few weeks ago, passed all sections, vocabulary was low score but everything else in the 90's. Haven't gotten a call for the interview yet though, so nervous. : (

I just took my HESI and did very well 90s. Now starts the waiting game. I wish everyone good luck!

I got my acceptance letter in the mail this afternoon!!!!

I just called St. Pauls the other day to inquire about the program. I received a call in the afternoon from them and they scheduled me to come in on Tuesday for an interview and some sort of basic test. Is this the process now? I have been reading through threads and everyone seems to have submitted an application first and then took the basic test and then the interview.... The woman did ask me if i was interested in the August class. Im just wondering if they changed their policy.

What class did she say they were offering in August?

And, is anyone doing the evening program? I'm in it now, so far so good!

When i called the other day and spoke to the woman on the phone she asked me if i was looking to get into the August class. I have my interview tomorrow, on tuesday, so i will find out exactly what she was talking about. She also told me the I would take a test on that day also as well as the interview. I was reading threads and I saw that most people started with an application and then were given a test and then the interview. So I was wondering if they changed the procedure?

It was different this last Dec. when I applied, but I believe the order is not set in stone for everyone. Usually, you fill out the application with the essay, take a short brief pre-interview test, take the NET exam, and you interview. But, I have heard of the order being different for people, but at one point you will have finished all four of those steps.

Good luck on your interview, just be very enthusiastic about the nursing profession and they will LOVE you. Don't be nervous. I'm curious who you will interview with...and keep me posted on what they are offering this August! Thanks very much.

I'm glad to hear some people got accepted. I'm worried, I scored >90% in every section on the hesi, but my gpa is a 2.9 right now. Did anyone get accepted with a

Hoppler 12..I heard last semester someone got in with a 2.45 gpa..as long as you get above a 75 on the sections i think your okay..I'm pretty much in the same boat I have less than a 3.0 right now, but I scored in the 90's on the exam.

Thanks for the info. Is there any news as to when fall admission will be over? How big are classes sizes? I heard about 40 students/class but I can't confirm it's true
