St. Paul's School of Nursing - Fall 2010 Acceptance

Published

I'm curious if anybody got their acceptance letter yet?

I just recently took my entrance test - it was easy. They changed the test style. After the first test comes the HESI which I know would be more challenging. The name of the entrance test is not DET anymore. It stinks considering on the application packet it says that the test would be DET and even recommended to buy the book guide - I bought it unfortunately. Anyway, anybody applied to other nursing school aside from st.paul's?

Arg anyone waiting for their acceptance letter? What's your GPA? Are you in the morning or evening program?

I wonder if anyone can tell me roughly about how much financial aid gives or how much in loans you've had to take out .... I want to apply but don't want to much debt

well financial aid all depends on ur income tax returns as well as tap. upon finding out what you get on that then you know how much u have to take out in loans. for loans i believe is 5500 and if ur parents are applying for loans that would be another 4000. if they dont get approved for the loan b/c of credit then they will give u an additional 4000 in total you will have 9500 for student loan.

i hope this helps. :)

For the day program I believe is 9-3 pm. I got accepted into the day program for the spring. I am so happy. Congratulations on ur acceptance. :)

hello, i was wondering what is the passing score? for st.pauls hesi in staten island?

If I remember right You have to pass the math section w/ a score of 75 or higher and on the grammar/vocab you need a combine score of 75 or higher. :)

would that be the Composite Score of 75% ? i took the test this afternoon and later loged on to view my scores i did well but dont know how well you need to do...:chair:

yeah u need a composite score of 75 or higher on the grammar and vocab by itself (like an average) and the math by itself needs to be 75 or higher. Good Luck

thanks... you've been very helpful

Good luck hope everything works well for you :)

Do yourself a favor and talk to the students enrolled there now and ask about the school itself. Not just the admin staff who will paint a rosy picture.

They just gave us the schedule for January. (Fall Freshman here!). Official first day of class is January 3rd but I am pretty sure you guys are going to come in earlier then that for Orientation to meet the staff and discuss areas of concern. Good luck all, the school is not perfect but nothing in life is easy! Get ready the first half of the semester is quite the challenge.

Hi bluefly I am starting in Jan do you know how much the books are??

Hey, does anyone have any advice on what incoming students can do now to prepare themselves for the upcoming semester? Thanks in advance!
