  1. I think I am in the same boat as you. It's so much information and I have no idea how to study and retain all of this information.
  2. Jan 3 the spring semester starts, i'm not sure if it is too late but you should call the school to find out.
  3. Yea I see your point thanks for the advice. How hard would you say the first semester is? Do you think it would be difficult to balance the first semester load with working a part time job (about 20hrs a week)?
  4. @bluefly do you know if it is possible to take mirco at QCC in the summer and then have the credits transferred in?
  5. I'm not sure, I have an Ipod touch as well but I haven't downloaded any apps yet but I guess we'll find out at orientation.
  6. Yea I had to make an appointment. She was really helpful and was able to answer all of my questions.
  7. @Sissy314 I am also attending the Queens campus/Day and I went to the school yesterday for financial aid and I was able to pick up a tentative schedule. MON= Nur-101 ( 9am-12:30), A&P (1:30-4:30) Tues= Clinical/Skills Lab, Nur-102 (9am-2pm) Wed= Nur 103 (8:30-9:30), Nur 100 (9:30-1:00), Psy-103 (1:30-4:30) Thurs= Clinical/ Skills Lab Nur- 102 (9am-2pm), Friday= NOTHING, Saturday Lab( they did not put the time). The scrubs for queens is a Royal blue Top and White pants.
  8. I am also attending in the spring semester. I was told that we will recieve our schedules the day of orientation. As for supplies being provided I believe that we would have to purchase our own supplies.
  9. Hey does anyone know what supplies are needed for school (sethescope, penlight, etc) or is a nursing kit provided?
  10. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't pass the test. If you are applying for Fall 2011 I suggest that you really take your time and study and when you feel that you are completely ready to take it again retake it. Good Luck
  11. Hey Everyone I recent got accepted to an ADN program and I start January 2011 and I am beyond excited. I can wait to begin my new journey. I can't wait til orientation and the first day of class. At my school we have to wear our nursing scrubs to school everyday and that really takes the work out of finding something to wear everyday. Good luck to all the other new nursing students starting in 2011!
  12. Yea I have the same concerns. I think it's a great idea to become a CNA. I decided to get my CNA certificate because I wanted to gain patient care experience. I'm from New York so it very competitive especially in this economy so I want to do everything I can now to give in an edge later on. Like you said school is very expensive and I already have student loans from my undergrad in another field.
  13. Hello Everyone, I am starting a nursing program in January going for my ADN. With the current economy and hearing stories about new grads having a hard time finding jobs after graduation, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what I can do while in school to help build up my resume and give me an advance for finding a job after graduation. I currently have my CNA certificate and I plan on working part time during the program. If any one have any other suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Advance!
