hello,
i am trying to enroll in fall 2011 at st. paul's school of nursing , on staten island i just look the hesi exam and barely pass the exam .... they have all my paper work that is required .. when i call them my advisor told me there is no interview but they will send an acceptance letter if i get in .... i am just curious how long do i have to wait before i found out if i got in or not ?? i want to take some prerequisites during summer time at a different college so i can save some money... please can someone gave me some info about when will i know if get in or not ?????
Thank you JM RN ,
that was such a relief :) i just recently got accepted to SPSON I am looking forward to attend fall 2011... already pay $ 500 but i am really freaked out about this whole credited and non credited issue also the fact that the tuition is high .... But i want to ask you did you graduate from SVMC or SPSON ???? i meant when did you graduate when the school was under SVMC or after they changed the name ... Because from what I heard or read from other posts that when the school was under svmc they were credited only when they change the name to SPSON it became non credited PLZ let me know what’s really going on ???
Lisa8585, i graduated under Spson. I was accepted to a SUNY school, a big state university from another state, and 2 online schools. I took all other non nursing classes at 2 community colleges. I only took the nursing courses at Spson. It could be possible if you take a&p at Spson that it wouldn't tranfer. But I'm not sure. I would call whatever school you want to go to go to and ask them if non nursing courses would transfer. Good luck to you! :)
NLN accredited schools such as cuny and others will not accept the General science classes taught at an non nln accredited college. I tried to transfer to queensborough in 2010 and was told that non of my science classes will transfer and they do not accept any of the nursing class credits. I have to start all over and wasted $17000, top of that I was told by the nursing dept. that I have to matriculate into qcc, then because they have so many applicants in nursing that After that semester then try to get into A&P 1, then after getting at least a B then put in application for nursing program, but have a plan b because it is very competitive. I waited for a seat at st. paul's for a year and a half, spent 9 months there and had a 3.95 gpa. After so many problems, unwritten and unfair policies, inconveniences, financial aid problems of doublecharged and getting credit on my acct, I complained and they dismissed me after complaining about tests and quizzes. They would not show me my tests and then during reviews they manipulated the questions on the power points. When I tried to get into qcc and transfer, I was denied. And yes I have a lawsuit filed at federal court. This school is a scam and they told me they were NLN accredited and showed me and alot of people a plaque on the wall that said nln member. Then the A&P courses and labs taught there are not up to standard. I have notified the Board of education and sent them pictures of the lab, we did no experiments or demonstrations, they had no equipment. The Professor told us to get a lawyer many times. She also was forced to pass everyone because as every one knows that if you do not pass A&P you cannot progress in the Nursing program. Stay Away because if you took your courses at an non nln accredited school and later on you have to go for BSN, you are going to have a problem. the people that do not have a problem are the ones that took their prereq's and sciences class at nln accredited schools, like qcc when it was st. vincents. Now they are letting everyone in and laxing in on the enrollment and then weeding people out. I filed my lawsuit last year it will soon come out, Education affiliates has also other schools that are being sued for the same things they are doing here. Buyer be ware , type in complaints against st pauls school of nursing and see what other people wrote. I also have been contacted by many other students with problems. Go to my facebook page Nick Papaspiridakos and read my post and all the info I have posted!!!!
Hey guys I just got my application in the mail....does anyone know when the deadline is for the Fall 2011 semester for the Queens location for St.Paul's School of Nursing. If anyone knows please post on this forum, it would greatly appreciated. my current gpa is 3.45. Thanks and hopefully I get a reply soon...sooner than the school advisors.

I graduated from this school and have got into 4 BSN programs. One which is a SUNY, one which is a state university & 2 others. So it is possible. Good luck to everyone.
