Hi guys,
I recently got a job offer to work at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital. I have to take their pharmacology exam. Anybody know any details about it? I have the packet that recruitment gave me but wanted to know more....
Thanks in advance....

congrats limerick1913. if you dont mind, can i ask you what was the process applying @ st. lukes-roosevelt. i've applied @ their facility but i haven't heard from them yet. do u think it's a better idea to go to their open interviews? your answer is greatly appreciated!
Thank you! I did my senior preceptorship there and was invited back by the NM on my unit to come back. That's how I got the job. I think you probably have a better chance going to the open interviews on Tuesdays. Atleast someone sees your face. Are you a new grad too?
i dont know if i should call my self a new grad any more. i graduated in 2010 with ADN and no luck finding jobs. i didnt know tht st. lukes hired RNs with ADN. i recently found that out and dropped off my resume @ the CHP human resources. the thing with me is i really suck at interviews, that's what holding me back going for the open interview. if you dont mind me asking- how was the interview process and what kind of questions were asked? because if i get scenario questions-i forgot all my nursing skills.
you meet with the recruiter. They ask you general questions like "tell me about yourself" Where do you see yourself in 5 years? etc. The NM ask behavioral type questions. You can google those on the internet. This will give you a huge list of possibilities. My advice is to be yourself. Treat it like a conversation. That's what I do. ;-)
so there is a NM and a recruiter? and how long is the interview?

Congrats limerick1913 on your new job. I happened to briefly meet some nurses from St. Lukes Roosebelt hospital while I was certifying for pals and they where happy.
It separate. I already knew my NM. I had a phone interview with her. (I precepted there). I had a recruiter interview. It lasted 30-45 minutes....not bad.
Thanks qcc2011grad!!! I am super excited. I start March 12th!!!! Lots to learn!
but someone like me would be interviewed by both of them? wow,30-45 mins is pretty long. i,ve had two interviews since i graduated and both were 15-20 mins.
I'm happy for you. The good part is that you also seem to know the hospital system which is a big plus and having done a prereceptor def helps. Are you going to be in the same unit you did your preceptorship
LOL I told you I treat it like a conversation. I can talk and sell myself like there's no tomorrow! LOL
