St. Louis University AGMSN

I am applying to the AGMSN program for Fall 2014. I have not seen much activity of the boards about this program. If anyone is an alumni/a, presently a student , or even applying could you write your comment below. I am very serious about attending this program if I get in. However, I would be leaving my home in NYC to do so so any comment would be appreciated.

Also if you are in the program or graduated could you just list your stats as well please ( like prereq grades). Thanks

Yes, I received a note back from the other girl that I had the wrong person. :) I think I found the real you, and I sent a message. Also, you should be able to search SLU AGMSN class of 2016 and find it that way, another classmate did.

Danielle Nicole Hosie is my Facebook name! Couldn't find the page when I searched. Add me! :)

It was mentioned in our packet that the nursing bag is $80 and I believe it comes with our blood pressure cuffs, and pen lights etc... but I am sure its optional especially since most of you brought most of your supplies.

Hey Everyone,

I, too, am in the 2016 AGMSN class. Looking forward to meeting you all soon.

I can't wait to meet everyone at orientation almost only a week to go!

The journey is closer than we think, I looked into blackboard today and the syllabus for our Pharmacology class is up it is the only one I seen but its not too bad.

Hi there!

The admissions process seems to be pretty painless. I earned an overall 3.1 GPA during undergrad. Are the strict about the 3.2 GPA??

I would apply anyways. There is an essay for the admissions process as well so just write a strong one. It's better to try than not at all. As long as you performed well on the prereqs I would take the chance if I were you. It's a great program and I don't regret my choice. Hope that helps.

Hi guys,

I applied to the AGMSN program for people who have degrees in something non-nursing. I wanted to learn more about the program and hear from current students! Does anyone know when we will hear something back from admissions/about interviews? Thanks in advance!

I applied around this time last year and I didn't hear about it until the week of MLK Day in January of this year. I think the program is great. Stressful ( yes), expensive ( YES), but rewarding and so worth it. The professors want us all to succeed but you will have to put in the work. We finish the first semester in three weeks and I can't wait. If you have questions just send me a message or post back right here.

FYI. There are no interviews for admission unless they decided to do something new.

Thank you for your advice! It really helps! I'm glad you're loving it so far...makes me excited to hopefully get accepted and attend! Are you looking to specialize in something after getting your MSN, RN?

Yeah, I am going to specialize and get my DNP but that is a least four or five years down the road.
