St. Louis University AGMSN

I am applying to the AGMSN program for Fall 2014. I have not seen much activity of the boards about this program. If anyone is an alumni/a, presently a student , or even applying could you write your comment below. I am very serious about attending this program if I get in. However, I would be leaving my home in NYC to do so so any comment would be appreciated.

Also if you are in the program or graduated could you just list your stats as well please ( like prereq grades). Thanks

I am doing mine on Market Street at a place called Enjoy CPR. Not scheduled till August 5. They have a website where you can register and even buy a keychain! The class costs $78. Pretty expensive, but other places cost even more.

I finally got certified background working. They forgot to add a paper in my packet. :) did my background check today. Fingerprints and mug shot. Haha. I'm trying to get everything done before classes start, but I think a few immunizations will have to wait.

Thanks for the information. I have checked out their website and will sign up for a class also. Maybe I will see you at the CPR class.

Its funny how time flies. We have less than one month before the program starts. I am excited and a little nervous. :)

Awesome! I have another question. When you got your vaccinations, what did you have your doctor sign? I know we have to upload the document to certified background, but I am not sure what document to upload.

Hello, your doctor may have a vaccine administration record to record your vaccines for your records. If not, you can download a form from the internet and then upload it. I found this one: http://www.immunize.org/catg.d/p2023.pdf

Are you purchasing your books during orientation at the bookstore or from a third party?

I haven't really decided yet on the books, but I am thinking about just buying them from the bookstore. Who knows... Maybe they are cheaper on Amazon. That's how I bought books in undergrad.

How are you getting HIPAA Certified?

Hi Danielle, I did not know that we were required to become certified. I looked online and there were a lot of online class options for HIPAA and some are expensive. Do you have a place in mind in St. Louis or online?

Looks like we're getting HIPAA certified at SLU. We finally got an email clarifying everything. My Certified Background is at 50%. Getting closer to orientation!

Hi everyone,

I also will be attending the AGMSN program at SLU this fall. I'm eager to get started and look forward to meeting all of you! I moved to St. Louis about 10 years ago, so for any of who are new to the area, feel free to ask me any questions.

Hi Rivera - I tried to locate the facebook page and can't find it under SLU AGMSN class of 2016... did I misunderstand the name of the page or is it active yet? I'm glad you set this up, I was going to do the same thing!
