  1. Hi Danielle, I did not know that we were required to become certified. I looked online and there were a lot of online class options for HIPAA and some are expensive. Do you have a place in mind in St. Louis or online?
  2. Hello, your doctor may have a vaccine administration record to record your vaccines for your records. If not, you can download a form from the internet and then upload it. I found this one: http://www.immunize.org/catg.d/p2023.pdf I hope I understood correctly. Are you purchasing your books during orientation at the bookstore or from a third party?
  3. Thanks for the information. I have checked out their website and will sign up for a class also. Maybe I will see you at the CPR class. Its funny how time flies. We have less than one month before the program starts. I am excited and a little nervous. :)
  4. Hello, I wish I could help you but from what I recall from last year, you would enter the ID code in the package code section from the main page. This will take you to the main registration page. I hope this works for you. Have you taken your cpr course? If so, do you know of a good place to take it in St. Louis? If unable to post it here, can you send me a message. I think I am able to reply now. Thanks,
  5. Hi AccelCNL2b16, have you checked with the university for jobs? I am still waiting for my packet. I will be moving to St. Louis next week so I have to call for a change of address.
  6. Hi Danielle19, Unfortunately, I can not comment about the program personally as I will be attending in the Fall too. I think that from the online posts of current and former students, the professors really want us to be successful in the program. Also, I have heard that some people do work part-time and on the weekends because we will have class almost everyday. You already know that SLU is a great university. :)
  7. Hi AccellCNL2b16, I totally understand. I have just completed my housing arrangements in the same manner due to the distance. I wanted to know if you were able to get the questions answered that you sent to me. Also, have you received the packet that they said that they will be sending? Thanks
  8. Hello AccelCNL2B16 Thanks for responding to my post. I have not done anything in particular for the classes but since you mentioned this, I think that I am going to start looking through old notes for AP and microbiology also. From what I have read, the program is very fast paced since it is accelerated. Lately, I have been doing a little research on the CNL role and it appears that VA hospital will have a lot of openings for this role. Also, I apologize that I was not able to respond to your message. I am not an upgraded member yet so I can not reply to private messages yet. Have you visited or moved to the city already?
  9. Hi Imenid37, Thanks for responding to my post. I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed your experience at SLU. I applied to the program because of their solid reputation also. I hope that I will have the same experience. Regards,
  10. Hi MissDS, did you decide to apply to Saint Louis AGMSN program for Fall 2014? I was accepted in the program also and wanted to connect with others.
  11. I attended an open house for the program last year. The faculty and students all gave information and insight on the program. The program has a rolling admissions and it is very competitive. From what I understand, they look at the entire application. However, you should make sure that your GRE scores are competitive as well. The program is fast paced and requires a lot of time outside class to work on assignments. They said that the reason why some people do not make it is because they have other outside interests. I have been in contact with the admissions department and they are very helpful also. I wish you all the best.
  12. Congratulations on pursuing your dream of becoming a nurse. I too am an older student starting on my second career. I found that taking the anatomy and physiology courses were more time consuming and can be paired with a less busy class like psychology or nutrition. Good luck!
  13. Hello all, I am attending the program this fall and wanted to know if there is an active page for the upcoming Fall class for the AGMSN program. It will be nice to connect with people who are in the program or will be attending. Any information you have is appreciated. Thanks!
  14. Hi, Just checking to see if you were accepted in the program for Fall 2014. I noticed that the school has an active waiting list now but the deadline for applications is July. Regards
  15. Thanks! Yes, I used both. Good luck on your admissions
