  1. Thank you very much!! Yes, it's the vast amount of information that needs to be remembered for the exam. :)
  2. Yes, I have checked it out. He is awesome! Thanks for the words of encouragement!! :)
  3. I just found out he doesn't drop the grade. He will replace it if the score on the final is better.
  4. Yes, he does drop the lowest grade. I have heard of Khanacademy and will check it out. Thank you very much! :)
  5. Thank you very much!! :)
  6. Thank you very much!!! :)
  7. Thank you both for your words of encouragement!!
  8. I just found out I got a 51 on my first Chemistry test. I had been getting A's and B's on the homework questions. I know I am not the only one to ever fail a test. But I just feel so horrible and embarassed. My teacher is the type that yells and gets annoyed if you ask a question. I have all the websites and books available to help me. But it just isn't sinking in well. I will need to get a tutor to help me through the rest of the semester (ending the end of April). Just needed to vent. Thanks for reading!
  9. I am 45 years old, and Nursing is my second career. Being that I had not been a strong math/science student, I was advised NOT to double up on Science classes. So this semester, I only have Chemistry. Next semester will be A&P 1, then A&P 2, and so on. Yes, it will take me longer. But sometimes slow and steady wins the race. I know a few other students in my Chem class who have doubled up with another Science course. They are struggling. BUT, it IS doable!!! I guess it depends on the person.
  10. I just started my very first Chemistry for Nurses course last Friday. I was and still am a terrible math student. I a praying that it will all sink in. But my mind is swirling now.
  11. PLEASE NOTE: THE BELOW CLASSES ONLY REQUIRED FOR THE BSN!! I thought I needed them for the AS degree. Additional General Education Courses Required *MCB 2010 Microbiology 3 *MCB 2010L Microbiology Lab 1 *HSC 1149 Pharmacology 2 *MTB 1370 Math for Health Related Professions 1
  12. Thanks for all the replies. I went and got my student id and parking permit. It felt so good to be back on a campus! I haven't been on one since 1987! lol. But anyway, saw my advisor too. She said once I am finished with Chemistry, I should take AP 1 with lab next, then AP 2 with lab. Then I take the HCA course and study for the Hesi. Once all is said and done, I should be ready to apply to NS in May of 2013.
  13. I am 45 years old. I will be taking one prerequisite course at a time, starting this January 2012. I figure I will be 48/49 when all is said and done. But like so many others have said, I will be that age anyway. So why not be that age with a nursing degree? :)
