St. Joseph's College: Maine

Published

Hi: Just wondering if anyone is enrolled or has graduated from St. Josephs in Standish, ME (distance learning program)? I am looking into their dual degree of MSN/MHCA(Masters in healthcare administration). It looks great but I'd like to hear from anyone who knows about the school. Thanks for your help.

Hey...funny enough, but one of the clinical instructors at my school just finished her MSN through St. Joseph's distance program...also I know several people who have gotten their BSN (not a distance program) from St. Joseph's (I'm from the New England area). The school has an excellent reputation!!! The clinical instructor was very pleased with their curriculum.

Even though it is a distance program, I believe you might have to spend 2 weeks at the school in the summer. The only down side is that it's really expensive.

Good luck!

I work with a Physician Assistant who recently got her Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from St. Joseph's College. She loved it....only having good things to say about the place. You do have to spend 2 weeks residency at the college in Standish Maine. Look at it as a vacation!!:)

Good Luck,

Oh I am excited. I really like this program from what I've read. I just got home after an hour drive from the school I am at now. I'm tired. I'm almost done with my first 3 credit grad course so it's a start. I'm definitely going to call St. Joseph's tomorrow. Thanks for your responses.

Yeah! Im also looking into several colleges for RN to BSN that also have MSN/education. I actually thought 300/per credit hour wasn't bad compared to what's out there. I was going to enroll in chamberlain's program, but am thinking twice due to the cost and mixed reviews. I haven't read too many reviews on SJCM, so Im glad to hear these. It looks like an excellent curriculum. Indiana Wesleyan offers the program w/ a flat fee of 15,900, or close to that, with all books and materials. The only thing I don't care for is it a cohort program...

So, I guess Im still deciding. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Boonce,

Congrats on starting your FNP program!

How along do think the St. Joseph's program will take you to complete? I was trying to get a feel from the website if you could attend full-time or just part-time and what the completion time frame is for the program.
