SRJC Fall 2016 LVN program

Published

Anyone else out there who will be applying to SRJC's LVN program for the fall 2016 cohort? I haven't met or talked to anyone yet and it would be nice to finally be able to! :)

Are you ready for exam #4 and our final tomorrow? I'm so nervous!

Oh my gosh sorry I haven't replied in a while the end of the semester has been crazy but we did it!! I took chemistry with English 1A and an anthropology class and i think it was okay just make sure you have enough time to study for it. I'm so relieved that the semester is over. I can't believe how easy that final was! How do you think you did? Now just waiting for grades so we can turn in our apps!

I don't feel as good about it as I'd like to. I focused too much on digestive and not enough on the immune cell functions. I'm pretty sure I lost my A :(

Oh no! Well im sure you still did well and a B is still a great grade. I know there were maaaany people in the class that were failing or barely hanging on but stayed in it anyways so hopefully that makes you feel better. I don't like the wait for it though. And I asked him if we could email him about our grades we got on midterm 4 and the final and he said he wouldn't reply until the beginning of next semester! We will only see our final grade... somewhat annoying.

Yeah, there were so many people in the Friday lab that had D's and F's, 5 people at my table alone. I felt bad for them since they're going to have to retake the class (some already have). I definitely wouldn't want to be in that position! I think it's dumb that we have to wait so long for our scores and grades too! I emailed him asking about it and he told me the same thing. So lame!

Grades are out!

I saw. Woo hoo! are you mailing or walking in your application?

I'm going to bring it in as soon as the grades for my other classes are posted and I get my transcripts. Did you do ok? I got an A and I am so happy right now :)

Yeah I'm walking mine in too. I got a B but I am still happy with that :)) congrats on your A!!

That's great! B's are something to be proud of too :) I was really counting on the A since I didn't do as well in anatomy. I feel like that helps balance things out some. I liked our teacher but he was giving us tests he had used from other semesters instead of writing out new ones. That's why there were sometimes things on them that we never went over in lab or lecture and weren't in our lab notes. He had to take 4 questions off of our last quiz because of that. I feel so bad for the people who are going to have to take the class again.

Oh yeah that makes sense of why I had never heard of a couple things in that quiz. And yes me too I'm so glad we got through it. Now I just hope and pray that we both get in the program. I would love to have a new friend going into it!

Me too! That would be awesome :) Fingers crossed we get good lottery numbers!
