Anyone else out there who will be applying to SRJC's LVN program for the fall 2016 cohort? I haven't met or talked to anyone yet and it would be nice to finally be able to! :)

Hi! I am applying for the LVN program too. Nice to meet you!
Hey there, nice to meet you too! It's so great to finally find another person who's applying! I'm finishing up my last prereq right now and just trying to pass the time. What about you?
I'm taking my last one as well, excited to finally be at the end of the previous reqs. Have you already submitted your application?
Not yet. I have to wait until this class is over since it's Physio. Which class are you taking right now?
I forgot to ask if you've submitted your app yet :)
I am in Physio also! Are you in 58? We might be in the same class. We are in the same boat then, I will be applying right after the semester is over and grades are turned in. I am taking Psych 4, FDNT 162 and College Skills 100 which is medication administration math.
I am in Physio 58! I'm a Friday lab person, which day are you? I feel like our teacher is really tough and I'm really stressed out about our midterm next week.
I'm also in the middle of the MA program so I'm taking 3 of those classes right now as well but it's not what I want to do in life. I took FDNT 62 during the summer and it was an interesting class. Do you have the guy teacher or the woman? I had the guy and he was awesome!
I am in the Wednesday lab. I agree he can be tough and I find him to be scatter brained a lot during lecture. I am actually taking 162 and it's online. I took FDNT 10 about two years ago and the program wants 62, so 162 is a short 2 unit option to make up the difference. And wow you must be keeping busy in the MA program. Are you hoping to work as an MA after you are done?
Ahh ok, I'm not sure who the teachers are for those classes but I'm assuming it's the same people. I definitely agree that our teacher can be scatterbrained! He's a nice guy and very smart but I swear he makes things things harder for us on purpose. I get that we need to be challenged but his tests are the most confusing and complicated I've seen yet. I don't plan on working as an MA unless all else fails. I went into that program because people around me kept telling me not to go for nursing because it would be too hard, etc., but I made up my mind and I'm going for it. Are you doing alright in physio? I can't wait until this semester is over!
Ahh I know the tests are hard, my advice is just relisten to the lectures and really pay attention to what he lectures on in lab because I feel like that is where most of the information on his tests and quizzes come from, and the course notes that we have! That has helped me and I have done quite well on the tests so far. I am doing well in the class but it is definitely a lot of work to stay on top of things and not get behind. I cannot believe how fast the semester is going. I'm excited for it to be over though life is so busy especially this time of year!
I feel the same way. It's funny because in the beginning of the semester he said we would only be tested on the Monday lectures and not the lab stuff but that's definitely not how it is. I do better on the little tests than the big midterms. It's usually the questions that could have multiple answers that trip me up. I make sure to record the lectures at every class but I don't always get to re-listen to all of them completely. I hope we both do well on this next exam! :)
