SRJC Fall 2016 LVN program

Anyone else out there who will be applying to SRJC's LVN program for the fall 2016 cohort? I haven't met or talked to anyone yet and it would be nice to finally be able to! :)

No I have not taken it. Is that required for the program? Hope you did well on the midterm I got mine back yoday! I did well im relieved. Now onto the final stretch!

That's great! I'm anxious to get mine back. I know I got some questions wrong even though I knew the correct answers. I tend to over-think questions and mess myself up. I need to stop doing that, haha. Pharm 255 & 256 can either be taken before or during the program but taking them before would lighten the course load a tad :)

Ohh I do that all the time. I'm so bad about changing my answers last minute and then being right on my original answer. It's so disappointing! I see that the pharm class is online. I am probably going to think about it. I haven't heard much about it though is it supposed to be hard? It's only a 2 unit course.

I've heard people say it's hard but you never know. It looked VERY confusing to me when I tried to take it - there were group assignment thingies every week with little clarity in the directions. I'd like to talk to the teacher in person about it since I'm sure she does it with each class but I don't want to bother her. I'll probably try to anyway :)

Just got my midterm #3 grade back and I did awesome! I'm super happy :)

Awesome, congratulations! Now one more and the final. I can't believe how fast this semester is flying by!

I know, me too! We only have 2 quizzes left as well :)

I'm thinking about taking Chem 60 next semester in case I want to apply to the RN bridge program in the future. Have you taken that? Honestly, I'm not a big fan of chemistry...

Yes I have taken it! It was a tough one. I'm not good at chemistry/do not like it though so my opinion may be swayed. It would be good though down the line since you need it for Physio 1 for the bridge. I have been thinking about the Pharmacology class you talked about though. I register on Monday so if there are spots left, I will probably enroll in it. I think you are right that it would be good to get it out of the way in case I do get into the program. Ugh it makes me nervous even thinking about applying, I just wish everyone could get in to it!

Ugh, I don't like chemistry either, which is why I've been putting it off. Guess I just need to go for it! I'm going to take the pharm 255 class too. The nice thing about the teacher for that class is that if the class is full you can just email her and she'll give you an add code anyway. I wish we could all get into the program too!

Chem just requires lots of studying but the tutoring centers are awesome for that! I spent so much time in there and they have really great tutors. That is such good news about the 255 teacher thank you!

No problem! And thanks for the tip :)

Hey lady, did you take any other classes with Chem? I registered for pharm 255 and a GE history class as well but now I'm wondering if I should drop the history class and take it during the summer instead. I don't want to overload myself since Chem is probably going to be difficult for me.
