SRJC Fall 2016 LVN program

Published

Anyone else out there who will be applying to SRJC's LVN program for the fall 2016 cohort? I haven't met or talked to anyone yet and it would be nice to finally be able to! :)

I've wanted to make a little study group but I'm too shy to ask anyone.

Sorry for all the replies, but I was wondering about something. I know our college transcripts have to be sealed when we turn in our apps but what about the copies of our high school diploma or GED? Do you know if those have to be sealed as well?

I think he meant we wouldn't get tested on stuff from the lab manual, but the lectures he continues in lab are fair game. But yes I hope we do well too! It is hard finding people to study with that's for sure and everyone's schedules are so different :/ I actually am not sure but that would be a good question for a counselor.I just get so nervous thinking about applying because there are not many open spots.. Please tell me I am not alone here!

You're definitely not alone! I get super nervous too because I don't know how many people are applying and since it's a lottery you just never know what your chances are. I hope there aren't a lot of people trying to get in this time :-/

And yes - the busy schedules make study groups so difficult to form. I'm pretty much only available at night right now because of all my classes. I also have a 2 year old and a 4 year old so that makes things even more interesting, haha. Do you have kids?

I know I haven't met like anyone else applying to the LVN everyone seems to be doing RN. I'm just thinking positive and hoping that I get in. And no I don't have any kids, but I commend anyone going through thelse classes with kids! Where do you sit at in class I'm curious to knowork who you are :)

Haha, I sit in the front usually since it's easier to record from my desk. I wouldn't want my phone to accidentally go off during class!

Where do you sit? Good luck on the exam today! :)

Hi Ladies! I am also applying to the LVN program! Currently finishing up Physio 1. Submitting my application after this semester is over. When is the deadline? I have the goal of doing LVN-BSN.

Hey there! Great to meet you :) the deadline to submit our apps is January 15th. I can't wait to hand mine in and begin the next part of the waiting process, haha. Wow, physio 1? How are you liking it? Is it as hard as they say?

Same! I just want to get the ball rolling. It's hard. Anatomy 1 is a piece of cake In Comparison. I'm so worried of applying and not getting In Though to be honest.

Me too! I spend a lot of time worrying about whether I'll get in or not. I'm really hoping to maintain a decent grade in this class as well. I find it so fascinating but the exams can sometimes leave me second-guessing myself. I wasn't as worried about my other prerequisites but I think the fact that it's my last one has sort of got my nerves up, you know?

Have either of you taken Pharm 255 yet? I'm planning to take it next semester to get it done and out of the way but it's a pretty intimidating class. I was going to take it this semester but I was so confused by what we were supposed to be doing that I dropped the class. I wish it was available on-campus as I feel like I don't learn well with the online ones since it can be difficult to get any questions you might have answered properly.
