Hey Everyone,
I am just wondering if anyone is in the same boat as I am :) I am applying to wake techs nursing program this july 31st for spring 2018. Anyone who is or had , and got in have any insight with grades that got them accepted? And all that?
I have yet to hear that yet about Wake Tech. Maybe they do something like that for alternates and TEAS test? I believe the biggest thing when I talked to the adviser was just having really good grade, and of course with having really good grades, falling into the point range. I also heard from an adv. that people get into the program with out getting any points on the TEAS, but that is most likely because the points are already in the point range. The adviser also told me she wont be getting to look at applicants till mid august after the submission.
I had asked about which chem class the admissions process would prefer. Any would do. So I am just going to use my organic chemistry from ECU!
You sound like a guaranteed spot even without the teas! My score of 166 (if I receive 0 for the teas) would be pushing it good thing we don't earn points for chemistry bc I got a C...chemistry and I don't get along lol I also played soccer for Meredith and one semester when I was taking Eng 112 and Dev Psych I got a concussion in one of the games and couldn't go to class for like 3 or 4 weeks so I got C's in those two as well so that's why my point count is so low without the teas score which is a bummer. And I am terrible at long tests like that too so you're not alone!!!
Look at it this way, I made a C as well in my chemistry. But I made a B in organic chemistry.. go figure. lol so i feel the hate relationship with you with chem. I honestly think your point range is pretty good. If they accepted students at 161, you should be solid.
My point range is 175 with out the TEAS, so I am not far off from you. We can do this! Lets aim high and get some points with TEAS!
I purchased the ATI study guide and the accepted book to study for the teas. I also purchased the practice exams on the ATI website, which is great because you get to take each version twice. The book is 55 and the bundle is 88 but can be purchased separately. I also use khan for science and math. The ATI app on the phone is great. I do those daily to help me remember things. I'll get the exact app for you.

Cape fear community college makes you file an intent to apply to the nursing program before you can send your application in and if two people have to the same point count then they go back to see who filed their intent to apply first. I wonder if wake tech will go back to see you applied first? Or maybe they will go look at TEAS scores next? I don't know what they do though so don't go off of my word lol. rntobe1108, what did they say about the chem class?
