Spring 2018 wake tech nursing
You sound like a guaranteed spot even without the teas! My score of 166 (if I receive 0 for the teas) would be pushing it good thing we don't earn points for chemistry bc I got a C...chemistry and I don't get along lol I also played soccer for Meredith and one semester when I was taking Eng 112 and Dev Psych I got a concussion in one of the games and couldn't go to class for like 3 or 4 weeks so I got C's in those two as well so that's why my point count is so low without the teas score which is a bummer. And I am terrible at long tests like that too so you're not alone!!!

Cape fear community college makes you file an intent to apply to the nursing program before you can send your application in and if two people have to the same point count then they go back to see who filed their intent to apply first. I wonder if wake tech will go back to see you applied first? Or maybe they will go look at TEAS scores next? I don't know what they do though so don't go off of my word lol. rntobe1108, what did they say about the chem class?

I'm so glad we are in the same boat because this process can be so stressful it'll be nice to be able to talk about it with someone else! lol I'm stressing already and I haven't even done the application! I emailed the health sciences advisors and asked about point count ranges and tried to set up and advising appointment so hopefully more info will be to come shortly!

Wow that's a cool major and that will help you out a lot too! I am in a CNA class now that goes through June and I haven't signed up for the TEAS yet, but I am going to soon. I have a girl in my anatomy II class and we had lab today and she said someone in the admissions office told her that if they see that you have a bachelors degree it kind of bumps you up higher than those who don't have one (not sure how accurate that is though). She applied for the fall 2017 wake tech class and had a point count of like 164 I believe and got 6 points for the TEAS but she said she has not heard back whether she got in or not.

I am really trying to push myself to get a 91. I will only have 172 if I only get the 6 points and I just don't think that is going to cut it. I finish my Biology major in May from Meredith college so I really hope that will help me do well on the science portion because I am sure that is the hardest. The practice tests that I have done for the math seem pretty straight forward so I hope that isn't going to be too bad. You should for sure get in if you have 181 with just the 6 points!! I read on one of the forums that last years spring admission acceptance points ranged from 165-210, but I am no where near 210 so that scares me!

Hi guys, I will also be applying for Spring 2018. After calculating my points I will have 186 points if I get the 20 points for the TEAS test. I'm not sure about point counts but I hope that I can get those 20 points to be competitive. I am so nervous! Is anyone else in this boat? Has anyone talked to an advisor to get any information on last years fall and spring admission points?

The only thing with the pre nursing with me is that I have already done statistics, and I am in a pretty easy entry level math right now, I will take med term this summer and I will be done with both A&P's so the pre nursing would be pretty pointless for me to retake all of those courses because I have gotten A's. My SAT scores were fairly low, 1050, and my college GPA is only a 2.9 so I think that may hurt me. For pre nursing you have to maintain a 3.25 to earn guaranteed admission.

Also has everyone finished all of their pre reqs? I will graduate with a BA in Biology this summer but am nervous that I am lessening my chances of getting in because I am in Anatomy and Physiology II now and am taking Micro this summer to finish my BA, so those points wont be calculated towards my application.
