I am a UT Houston hopeful applying for the traditional and accelerated nursing program. I will complete my science prereqs (A&P 1/2) in the summer. I will finish up with Micro and Chem in the fall. I am so focused right now. Anyone else out there? :)
I received my interview email a few days ago! It is September 16th at 8:00! I can't wait to meet some of you there! Can anyone tell me when we should be hearing about the admission decision after the interview? Is it like two weeks after or mid Novemeber? That seems to be the going trend. I am just so bad at waiting! Well good luck to all!
I keep hearing that during the interview they will hand us a schedule and ask how we will handle it? Is it a daily schedule or a semester schedule? And does anyone know if it is more favored upon to work during the traditional program? If so, does it need to be in the medical field? Is it even possible to work? Just curious!
Any other interview tips are welcome from those of you who are currently in the program :) Thanks for all ya'lls help!
Hello all!I'm a first semester student at UT and was just reading over the thread. I remember being there a few months ago, so if you have any questions feel free to ask.
Good luck!
Hello,
I just wanted to know if you could give us some pointers on how we can prepare for the interview, and maybe when we can expect to hear back.
Thanks
I am in the September 16 @ 8:00 am group! Im so excited/nervous! Im dreading the waiting game till November tho!
What do you yall suggest about parking for the interview? Being that early in the morning I do not want to risk being late or using the metro. Suggestions?
Good luck to everyone!

I decided to quit my job and start the Accelerated BSN next summer if they'll accept me. My prereq GPA should be 3.86 with the science prereq GPA being 3.79. My HESI scores range from 88-100 with 94.5 overall. The problem is that my overall GPA is about a 3.0.
My last 42 hours are 4.0. The overall is pulled down by a 2.7 undergrad GPA from many years ago. My graduate GPA of 3.2 does not help much because it is only 51 hours. Do I have a realistic chance?
