Nursing Students School Programs

Hi guys,

Starting a new thread for USF Ca MSN for Non RN's program.... just submitted my app!!! Super anxious but I am glad I submitted early!!!! Anyone else submitted applications???

Hi there and welcome! We are all right there with you!

Hello again everyone!

I check this thread everyone once in a while and the anticipation is killing me.. Ahhh! How is everyone holding up? I forgot to mention that I'm from the East Bay area in Fremont.

Does anyone know how competitive their program is? I know UCSF is ridiculously competitive. I'm worried because my undergrad GPA is not that high.

I've read/heard that it's just as competitive (

I live in the East Bay, Milpitas! Yea I wouldn't think having a class in progress would be a deal breaker.

This is very true, and I have heard this repeatedly as well that they look at the applicant as a whole!

I'm curious to know how many people applied this Spring 2016 round. Did any of you find out?

I'm not sure how many exactly for Spring 2016, but at the info. session they said they get around 300+ applications per cycle... for the 30+ spots.

I've heard the same, Fall tends to get more applicants, 400+.

When I went to one of the summer info sessions I felt that the majority of the other applicants there were applying for Fall 2016. I don't remember the number they said. I think they do accept 32 or 30 and then if they have fluent Spanish speakers they well accept a total of 36 for the cohort because they will be at La Clinica for their home hospital.

I heard the same thing. Spanish speakers have a huge plus, and they do call you to test your spanish fluency.

So nervous, every morning I wake up scared to check my email :nailbiting:
