Spring 2016: USF CA Non- RN MSN Program

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi guys,

Starting a new thread for USF Ca MSN for Non RN's program.... just submitted my app!!! Super anxious but I am glad I submitted early!!!! Anyone else submitted applications???

Hello!

I hate the waiting game too! By scores I meant GPA, degrees, experience etc... I have looked through several previous threads and it seems like a lot of weight is put into the experience category and not just GPA.

It has only been 3 weeks since the deadline, but it feels much longer! haha. Hopefully we get news by Thanksgiving? I'm glad this thread is more active now,... good to entertain the excitement until we find out! I was reading old threads and someone mentioned that applicants that have in-progress classes are generally not accepted? :( I'm worried now because I have one class (non-science) in progress now. Hopefully that is not the case. Anyone know if this is true?

Hello all!

I too have applied for Spring 2016. I would be lying if I were to say that I'm just a little anxious.. I'm EXTREMELY anxious to know the results! :nailbiting: As the waiting game continues I would like to wish everyone the best of luck.

FromCA: Which class do you still have in progress?

Sociology!

Yea people are accepted with low GPA's, I've heard as low as 2.7 :dead: in general though it looks as though they look at people as a whole. Languages are a huge plus too!

Really? Sociology is part of the pre- req but I haven't heard of people not getting accepted cuz of classes in progress. USF really looks at EVERYTHING as a whole, BUT I've heard that your REC letters and personal statement are the most important. The personal statement is basically like your interview, so they really look for excellent personal statements. Since the program is entry- level, having experience is a plus but not expected.

I like the sense of community here :inlove: let's keep each other informed! And yes, I hope you find out November!

Definitely! I am so glad I found you all on here!

Hi everyone!

I'm glad I found this thread so we can encourage each other through this grueling wait!:roflmao: Some decisions should start being released as soon as this month though? I guess I just assumed it wouldn't be until next.

Is this everyone's first time applying?

Hoping we all get good news in the near future! :)

Hi Caitlinkay! We should definitely know by mid December, but some people may find out closer to the end of November. We shall see.

This is my first time applying, first and last I hope :)

Unfortunately I woke up to some bad news today, I didn't get in. Check your emails!l, Good luck to you all!
