I was told I was alt. #25. However, I went to the administration office while I was waiting to be interviewed by Northside Hospital and they told me that they made a mistake. They forgot to calculate my micro class while processing my information. So, I was never supposed to be an alternate, I was supposed to be accepted during general admissions. I was too happy to be mad at all.

Oh boy....that makes me worried that they miscalculated your credits and GPA. Makes me wonder how many others they've done that to. I was told I'm #26, so I was right after you for picking....but now that you were never supposed to be an alternate makes me wonder how many alternates they've accepted. And then those 4 that never showed up to the meeting were automatically discounted, but who knows what numbers they were. So glad you made it in!!

BTW, did any other Spring 2011 applicants attend the Northside/Baypines VA Hospital Interviews Nov 3? (It was at HEC) I interviewed with Northside and they said they were going to get in touch with all of the students that were interviewed at the BEGINNING of this week. I was told by Tracy that she would email those who didn't get in and personally call those who did get accepted. I'm very anxious! Has anyone heard from Northside?

Unfortunately I was bedridden with food poisoning the day of the Northside/VA interviews....I would have liked to have the opportunity, but I was in no shape to even move to the front door. What was the VA offering?

The VA hospital is offering:

- 12 additional seats for the nursing program

- You would have your clinicals there

- Be able to apply for a student-tech job after your first semester of nursing school

They're not offering any scholarships, guaranteed job contracts or any $.

and sorry about your food poisoning, yikes!!!

LOL! Thanks, Lis4b!! I acquired food poisoning after trying to eat healthy at work - a salad of all things!! Still bummed that I missed the opportunity to interview....
