Just wanted to start a thread for all of us with our fingers crossed for the Spring 2011 at SPC. :yeah:

Thanks for starting this thread. I was accepted into the program and am pretty nervous about it - trying to figure out how I'm going to juggle everything, especially finances.

Does anyone know much about the EAYL program?

Congratulations:yeah:

Got my CONGRATULATIONS letter in the mail today!!!! I'm in:yeah: Now just hoping to be accepted into EAYL, but either way I start Jan 11. :clown: Yay!!

WOOHOO congrats!!!!!

Was anyone put on the alternate list for Jan. 2011 SPC? Do we have wait list numbers. Congrats to all that were accepted.

I'm an alternate for spring 2011, but don't have a number. Are you an alternate also, Stef?

Yes. I'm an alternate. This sucks. If we don't get in Jan, we have to wait until next August. Im so frustrated. My GPA for nursing prereqs is a 3.8 with all of my support courses finished.

I know. I am reading the previous posts and I am beginning to wonder how they truly score everyone for acceptance. I have all of my pre-reqs completed and am still an alternate. Keeping my fingers crossed for both of us!

Has anyone heard back from EAYL????? For those that went to the interview on the 22nd, how do you think it went? Mine was generic, I have no idea if I did well or it was the worst of the day.

Hey VKF3,

I attended the EAYL meeting too. I was told they'll start calling people the first week of Oct. I didn't get accepted into the SPC program (only a 3.5 GPA and outside of Pinellas) so I attended the EAYL orientation and interview. I thought it went pretty well, I told the person who was interviewing me that I was EXTREMELY flexible (seeing as how all I'm doing is going to school right now) and basically expressed how badly I wanted to be a nurse! Unfortunately my only experiences in the medical field are from volunteering for 6 months at a hospital my Sr. high school year and taking Phlebotomy at PHCC (along with clinicals) LOL hopefully they consider me! I'll let anyone know as soon (if I do) recieve a phone call for the 2nd interview! Good luck everyone.

They told me a couple of weeks too. I am soooo impatient.... I will also post if I get a call

I went on to the second interview for Jan 2011.....Im just patiently waiting to get the call in order to know if accepted or not :/

For those who have been accepted and attended orientation, which program did you put as your preferred - day or evening?
