anyone else here looking to get into either seminole state's spring 2011 program or the concurrent as-bsn ucf-ssc concurrent program for spring 2011? i will be applying soon myself, and would like to see if there are other such applicants on here. maybe we can help each other!
looking forward to meeting new people.
Thank you jacksonleo! My mail only runs around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that it comes today no matter the outcome. I'm going crazy just wondering what the decision will be. I live in Lake Mary, so maybe their mail was delayed a little bit, since It did not come yesterday.
Wannabnurs - I hope you get your large envelope today!!! We are thinking of you --
we have been supporting each other during this (what seemed a long time wait...) and
I appreciate that! :heartbeat
Jacksonleo, Glad to hear I'm not the only non-traditional student!! I was a little worried
I'm in my mid 40's and I live in Wekiva Spring area...I'm near the Alt Campus...Yes!!
tired of driving all the way down to West Valencia.
I signed up for the finger printing already - on Nov 13th , I want to get all this paperwork out of
the way. I'm a little confuse about immunizations since I can't get my hands on my record
I called the health dept and they told me they throw it away after a person turns 19...
I am sorry to hear that wannabnurs.. darn!
Don't give up... have you thought about VCC? I know it is a one year wait but I submitted my application just so that I knew no matter what I would have a spot somewhere and then applied to my other choices as well. They are starting a pilot program in August just like the SSC/UCF program.
I'm having the titer test at UCF $50 something dollars.that way the remove the hold.
I also need to do the online orientation for UCF -- have you done
that yet?
Looks like we have to order the uniforms by Nov 23rd
I like to buy them from uniform supply...I need to try them on
if I can : )
I did the online orientation about six weeks ago... I might do the titer test at UCF as well especially since it sounds like their lab results are immediate.
As far as the uniforms, I hate to have to order them online... but I am definitely going to get the pants at uniformity in longwood.. I can handle the tops not fitting well but not the pants.
Wannabnurs, Sorry to hear that -- I'm suprise you didn't get in because you had a high GPA... who knows what system they used...
Glad to hear you are not giving up and applying again in March!!
We should start a new post about how we do, how the concurrent program is, clinicals, and how do we handle all the work -- that way it will help the 2011 Fall hopefuls!!

Congrats nestraden and whitewlf00!! See you at orientation...
wannabnurs, the envelope is a white large envelope (9x12), not very thick since it has about 6 or 7 pages. I was stalking the mailman and saw it immediately when he was about to put in my mailbox...
