looking forward to meeting new people. :D

Hello! I am applying to the concurrent UCF SSC program for Spring 2011. Do you happen to know the average teas score that they accept? I am wondering if I should retake the test before I submit my applications.

Hello Nicolevs! Sorry, I don't know what the average TEA exam score is that gets applicants into the program. I just know that 74% in the minimum for concurrent.

How was the TEAS test in your opinion? I'll be taking it this week, and then applying as soon as I am able!

Nice to meet you! :)

I am applying as well. I took the TEAS test last week and got an 88% so I think that part should be ok. I haven't attended a nursing session yet though. I think you have to attend one in order to get the actual nursing application. Good luck to you both! Keep in touch on how things go! :D

Today starts the first day for the application period for Spring 2011 program. Good luck to all that is applying

Alanas09: yes you are required to attend a session. Afterward, your app. is good for one year. Be careful about being there on time- and this means get there early!! Entering on time is not allowed (i.e. if it starts at 5 pm and you try to open the door at 5 pm, you will be locked out! I experienced this once). Congrats on your TEAS score! :)

Good luck to everyone!

Thank you for the heads up! I would not be happy if I got there and couldn't get in and had to come back! Good luck!!

Hi there. I submitted my application this morning at 10:00. I was number 12! Can you imagine? It is going to be competitive. One of the advisors mentioned that the last application period had 300 applicants for 80 spots.

I got an 87.1. It was not too bad if you are prepared. I bought the ATI book and went over it. The math part is very tedious, not hard, just time consuming and I ran out of time so my score would have been higher. What also helped me as far as the science section was reviewing a physics4kids.com website and accompanying websites like chem, etc., in that there are a lot of high school science stuff such as earth science, chemistry, life science, etc.

Hope this helps.

Wow, already 12 applicants by 10 a.m.? With the application time not opening until 8:30...

Yeah, it's going to be competitive.

I'm really nervous about that fact that they choose applicants first based on their date of finishing prereq courses. I finished well in time (early this year), but I've heard they will choose those that finished even earlier- the year before! And, with much lower GPA's....

Thanks for the TEAS insight. I plan to test tomorrow or Friday!! Back to studying!

I am just hoping that their criteria of choosing applicants is not as you mentioned, although that is what I heard and read also. I did get notice that the priority is going to be applicants for the Concurrent program first and that 60% of the seats go to them. If you are applying for just the ADN, you really have to be way on top of everything. Not sure if this helps but Daytona State College application period ends to day.. so if you are interested in the ASN or getting done quickly, that's the way to go in that they start also in January. I ran over there when I found out that they no longer have a waiting list and applied... I will take either, just want to get to work...

Good luck with the TEAS!

Hi, I just put my application for the UCF/SSC Concurrent program.

I'm so excited!!! I was number 139 this afternoon , but they will take applications till tomorrow 2pm.

If they are going by whoever finished pre-reqs early then I'll be out

because I finished mine this summer.

My GPA is 3.8

and my TEAS score was only 77.3 %

Please post as soon as you get answers. Good luck to everyone who applied!
