Whom else is applying for this Spring? How apprehensive do YOU feel about it? How are your stats?
There are many ways to get your BSN, where do u get your info from? There, are many RN to BSN programs and ncc has a joint admission with a few 4yr colleges check their website and see. I have alot of friends who went to ncc and passed nclex their 1st try and are now either doing theit BSN online for 8months - 1yr or at traditonal in class, one is at Stonybrook and the other Farmingdale. Most hospital will hire you with your ASN and give you upto 5 yrs to complete your BSN and if at the time of applying for a position you are already enrolled in a BSN they will hire you. I have a few RNs who are in HR. Plus there are other areas that need RNs other than hospitals. That is why I Iove nursing there are so many possibilities and flexibilities.
That's true, RN to BSN. However it is longer and you can't get a Job with your RN ASN in hospital and that is becoming stricter. For example NYU medical would not take RN-BSN from Online program, they wouldn't hire you. And soon LIK will follow suit, since they lost the magnet status because of that and had to change their Name to Northwell. ASN-RN is phasing out, just like LPN in hospitals.

If you didn't recieved an email that means you are rejected....it's too much stress for ASN when you still have to do your BSN before you get a hospital job. Nassau doesn't have teachers for the classes. I went in for early orientation because I will be away for Thursday 14 date they gave...and after seeing what's being offer I have given up my space. The four colleges would be so much more better and easier. It's so bad that students don't pass the Nclex for sometimes a year after...because they are not prepared well. Dr Rich is retiring because he gives up with the department. There is other options to consider this is YOUR career. Do it right the first time get your BSN get a job...magnet status for hospitals means BSN is a MUST.
