Whom else is applying for this Spring? How apprehensive do YOU feel about it? How are your stats?

Hi guys, I'm a little late to the party but I got in as well!! See you guys next week!

Has anyone done their autobiography? I haven't sat down to actually write it yet.

haven't started yet LOL

btw, Do you guys know what you're gonna wear to "the interview"? Do we have to wear a suit? :T

I finally sat down to write mine. I think its like maybe business casual? I have to work that day so im gonna wear what i normally wear. im assuming like no jeans though.

Hello everyone,

I was just accepted into the Nursing program, i guess there were a few spots open or someone dropped out at the last minute. Congratulations to everyone that got accepted! How did the interview process go for everyone? I have mines scheduled for tomorrow and I'm actually nervous. Is the dress code business attire? Does anyone mind sharing how their interview went?

Thank you

Business attire. You will do well. Clomp just pass the BSN law today. So that will affect NCC nursing program too. Good luck and enjoy your Christmas presents....yayyy!!

Can you tell future students how many point you have. So everyone can get an idea where they stand.

ALBANY, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - Governor Cuomo signed a bill into law this week requiring anyone planning to become a registered nurse to obtain a bachelor's degree in nursing.

There are some exemptions. Those that are already an R.N. or already in nursing school will not have to abide by the law..

Hello Logic,

Unfortunately, I was not accepted into Nassau's program for the spring semester but I just received a notification about your comment via email. I felt the need to respond because all of the information you posted is correct, however you're leaving out a major detail of this law. I suggest that anyone who is interested should read the original bill as I have or find any article relating to this law. It is called "BSN In 10" and it has been something in the works for quite some time. It has been called this because it requires all RNs to become BSNs within TEN years of receiving their initial licensure. Personally, that seems like an adequate amount of time to have pursued your BSN (and some). Many hospitals have already enacted a form of this bill for their RNs to push them to receive their BSN within a specified amount of years from being initially hired. I have pasted the actual bill below and an article that summarizes it. Please stay informed.

Thank you!!! Fools are always so sure of themselves... sorry you didn't get in. I would rather have you (a person who doesn't talk out of their ass) get in. Please fact check your peers people! There are some idiots out there that just mislead you not because of intention but ignorance and laziness on their part.

Snoop19116,

Thank you! I really appreciate that and I'm glad you saw my post. Hoping to get into Suffolk for the Fall *fingers crossed*. Good luck with beginning your journey to nursing in the Spring!

Honestly I don't even know how many points I have. I transferred to this school from queensborough, so it's the first time I learned about pointing counting. I can share my grades to give you an idea.
