Spring 2018 MDC Nursing Program

Published

My journey started from cna, lpn now,I applied for spring 2018 nursing bridge program. I am looking forward to what it has to offer and the challenges ahead. Anything is possible if you work hard and be persistence in reaching every goal you set for yourself. Always keep a positive mind.

Applying tomorrow with a 3.88 GPA and 82.86% on the HESI. Have any of you applied already? Do you have to take anything else but the HESI score report and $25.

So excited ahh

That is Awesome! When I applied I took $25 application fee and hesi printout that's all you need. If you are applying for the bridge program then you would also need cpr card along with your professional license.

Hi I saw what you wrote in the other forum and I'm also enrolled at Broward College's nursing program but really want to transfer to Miami Dade is there anyway I can get your email to ask you some questions please?

I am currently in my 2nd semester at MDC in psych now. However, I received my acceptance letter on Nov 29th 2016.

It was torture waiting for that email since i had applied in June 2016. I started in January and no looking back since. The professors are amazing use rate my professors.com of course and hope for the best. Get uniforms from blue angels across from the medical campus WWAAAY cheaper! Start reading Perry and Potter fundamentals chapter 1-6 to get ahead. You can do it!!! Also apply for the mdc scholarship on the school website very easy- small essay and bio info asked. I received a $450 scholarship for spring and a $800 for summer!!! Thank God.

Hi everyone! So my gpa is 3.55 and I didn't do that great on the hesi :( I got a 75% I only had three days to study so I'm gonna retake it. But I have to wait until September 1st to bc that's the 30 day mark. How did you guys study for chemistry and anatomy? I studied from that Elsevier 4th edition book but it didn't really help me with the chemistry and anatomy portion. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Hi,

I myself took the hesi without studying got 76 i registered as soon as i was done also am not taking it over. When i took the hesi i did not take the micro or the chem class the only class i had completed was ap1 and 2. My suggestion is to go on evolve it gives you the sections you didn't pass and what you need to study i think that should help.

Hi guys!!!

i just finished applying about 3 weeks ago.

I have a 3.6 Science GPA and an 83% overall Hesi A2 score.

I am retaking the Hesi on the 14th because I feel that I can do better.

What do you guys think....?!

Hey everyone! My GPA is a 4.0 and I'm currently studying to take the HESI on Aug 23rd. My original plan was to take it in July to see how the exam would be and then take it again in August, but I had a ton of work-related problems and couldn't take it. I'm super nervous about the exam due to the fact that it's a "hit or miss" shot for me now since I only get 1 try, but I'm praying for the best! As long as I'm in the 80's, I should be fine, I've seen threads where a composite score of 81-83 was enough to get accepted, so lets see! I'm currently studying from the Elsevier 4th edition study guide and taking loads of practice questions from an app called pocket prep. Any tips from recent test takers as to what I should focus on? I'm super nervous about the sciences, was the Elsevier book helpful for you guys?

Congrats on the amazing score! Would you mind sharing what you used to study? Was the Elsevier Study Guide enough? Tips on the science portions?

I'm also applying for Spring 2018 AO or full time. I'm taking the HESI tomorrow and then I will be ready to apply I hope i get at least an 85. Ive been studying the chemistry, A&P, and biology like crazy. Looking back at an older post someone said if you have a 85 score on the HESI you're pretty much guaranteed a spot since all of them that got high scores on the HESI were accepted.

Good luck! Please let us know how it goes! :)

Just wanted to update you guys on my Hesi score. I got an 82%. I wish I had gotten an 85%. I would have felt more comfortable but I feel as long as you get an 80 you are competitive. The adviser said to START checking in Oct for your acceptance. Don't check your email everyday going crazy lol.

I cannot check the cohort because its asking for a code. My scores are all better than the class average (Thank God). Does anyone know it this is the class average for the year or for the semester?
