My journey started from cna, lpn now,I applied for spring 2018 nursing bridge program. I am looking forward to what it has to offer and the challenges ahead. Anything is possible if you work hard and be persistence in reaching every goal you set for yourself. Always keep a positive mind.
Have you taken your hesi already?! I'm nervous about doing t online but am so ready to get in and started!!
Yes. I did the hesi already. my score was not that hot 76.29 i could not get that calculator to work for nothing. i had to do all the problems by hand and wasted so much time on math. the other ones i breezed through.( meaning I did not actually have enough time to read the questions lol lol) The test was not so bad anatomy i got 92 only one am proud of, but if you are weak in a particular subject i would take it last, so that you wont waste so much time. When my science Gpa is added to my hesi score am at 85 competitive score.
Your competitive score is a combo of your HESI score weighted at 60% and your GPA weighted at 40%. So your calculation would be: 82.86 x .6= 49.716 and 3.87 x 10= 38.7. 49.716+38.7= 88.416. I've combed through the threads from previous years and the trend seems to be that as long as you have an 81-82 or above you have very good chances of getting in.
How do you know your competitive score? I got an 82.86% on my the HESI and a 3.87 GPA (thus far, taking Anatomy II/lab now, fingers crossed)
Hesi is worth 60% and the gpa is worth 40%.
Only the science gpa counts.
Hesi score * 0.60= multiply the Gpa by 10= then add the two numbers and that will be your competitive score.
