Howdy everybody I'm pretty new here but I was wondering if there was anybody applying to the MANE programs for 2016? I sent out my applications last wednesday to NHCC and ARCC(hoping to get into ARCC in coonrapids) with composite scores of 11.67 and 11.42. I was told that the 11.42 is a good score to have at ARCC. But its so hard to know for sure!
I'm waking up somtimes freaking out that I forgot to add something to my application, or that I got the address wrong or that I spelled my own last name wrong. Then I have my coffee and turn on SNL to calm me down xD(its pretty ridiculous I know). Good luck to all of you. Hope you are not freaking out like me over everything related to the program till July 15th.
I'm choosing the NHCC as well. I'm curious to find out how intense it is while working. Hopefully it's possible!
I'm in the NHCC program right now. I think its possible to do it while working but no more than 10-15 hours a week MAX. A lot of my classmates had to cut back on hours once they realized how intense it is.
Congrats! That had to be the toughest wait. Definitely tough competition this round, it seemed.
Thanks for the heads-up on that Virgo. I've heard it's possible to work, but that many hours of sleep are sacrificed in the process. I'll have to see how things go, but part-time is obviously preferable if I can swing it.
Does anybody know when the Orientation information is suppose to be coming for anoka ramsey's MANE program? My yellow card says it is suppose to be comming this month but I havent recieved any information yet. I hope filled out my acceptance form properly. Ha ha ha there I go worrying about the little things again.
They sent me a letter overnight from fedex. I got it yesterday. I don't think I am calculating my score right. I know I'm high 10's. You should be hearing soon if you haven't already. You can call to see also. I don't know if they can tell you anything but it is worth a shot. Good luck.
Ok so I looked up my TEAS score and it was 72.7%. My GPA was 3.67. So 3.67+7.27=10.94. My composite was 10.94. You should be hearing soon if more spots open up.
I have a friend that just finished her 1st semester there and has most of her Generals completed. She said it isn't that bad. She works 40 hour/week and is in the evening/weekend option. I plan on doing evening/weekend and still working 40 hours/week. The only thing I would change is the 2nd semester I heard clinicals are extremely time consuming and I will most likely drop my second (on call) job at that time. I'm kinda in the same situation as you; I'm a single mother with one kid. Just keep reminding yourself this is temporary and it will only get better.
Thanks for the insight on that Shawntay. It's always helpful to talk to others in the program to see what they're experiencing. I'll do what I have to, but definitely good to be a little prepped ahead of time. You're the first I've heard of who's looking at the night option at NHCC. It'll be interesting to see who else will be in the program. I'll see you there!
