Spring 2015 MANE programs

U.S.A. Minnesota

It's about time to start applying to the spring 2015 MANE programs. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who is applying. I thought it would be nice to have a place where we could come together and chat about our scores, the application process, and the anguish of waiting for our acceptance letters.

I'm planning on applying to Century and Inver Hills. I would prefer Century, just because it's right down the street from my house.

Anyone else applying for spring?

I was accepted at Inver Hills with a 11.53 combined total. I think you have a great chance elsterling27 of still getting in being #7 on the waiting list. There are alot of people who apply to multiple schools, and even on here there are atleast a few that applied to Inver as a second choice. What was your combined score if you don't mind me asking, just curious.

I just got my letter from Inver Hills. I am #7 on the wait list. So... I don't know where that gets me. It's hard to imagine that seven people will decline their spot, but who knows?

I'll be turning down my spot at Inver Hills. I know quite a few people who were applying there along with Century, so I think there's a good chance you'll get in.

I meant to apply to IHCC as well, but I figured my chances of getting into Century was just as good and Century is only 5 miles from where I live. So even if I had gotten around to applying, I would be turning it down. I think a lot of people apply to multiple schools, so #7 isn't a bad spot to be in at all.

I went to Century today to sign up for orientation and to talk about some classes my letter said I still needed to take. It turns out they just haven't evaluated my transcript yet. I will have to take interpersonal communication and there's a couple other classes that are questionable because my old program was screwy, but I feel much better. 1 or 2 classes is much better than the 6 or so they had listed!

Thanks everyone, that gives me some hope. My combined score at Inver was 11.33. I guess I'll wait and see what happens. If nothing else, I will just reapply next cycle. I will retake the TEAS. The math portion beat me up. It shut down on me before I even finished. I only scored a 76.7. So, I might have to wait awhile. But I am excited for all of you!!!

I finally received my acceptance letter from Normandale! Although I already knew that I was accepted, getting a tangible acceptance to the program makes me feel way much better.

Accepted to both schools I applied to: NCC and IHCC! Congrats to all who received admission.. And to all who didn't; don't give up! Get that TEAS score up. If anything, this gives you time to get experience as a CNA, that helps tremendously when finding a RN job.

Congratulations!

So are you going to accept Normandale's admission?

Just got my acceptance letter from IHCC!

But now I'm not sure which program to choose. IHCC was my backup but I've heard good things about the program.

Someone help! Does anyone know anything about NHCC's program? That was where I imagined going but no one really knows much about their reputation.

Hello, I've been following this thread for a while now.. waiting for the final results for Spring 2014.

Was this information for both campuses or just the Cambridge campus?

So confusing, I applied with ARCC in Anoka with a composite score of 11.3 and didn't make it .. not even a wait list.

There was another user on here who got a call they got into Century (I think). They weren't even on the wait list. Century went through their wait list and still had open spots left.

I think you've srill got a shot. I got into NHCC but applied to IHCC as well..strange I haven't recieved anything from them yet.

They still had space in the wait list, or acceptance?

Apparently they had finished going through their wait list and still had open spots. I guess quite a few people denied entry into the program for them to go through that many people.

So I'm about to send in my letter of acceptance. I could've sworn that somewhere on there it said we needed to pay a $100 deposit, but now I can't find it. Am I correct? Can anyone remind me who we make it out to?
