I've decided to make this page for anyone applying for the Spring 2019 ADN program at Lone Star CF/K. I'm so nervous and it's still kinda far away! Good luck!

Hey everybody! I am glad to have found this thread as I prepare to submit my applications for Spring 2019 program starts, I missed the fall deadline by 20 minutes because my transcript showed up a day late, I was so bummed but not defeated. I decided to continue working on being core complete during the waiting period and now I am completing both my associates of science and associates of arts next month from Palo Alto College here in San Antonio before moving to the Houston area.

I plan to apply to both the Cyfair & Kingwood locations, with Cyfair being my number one choice. I have a 4.0 GPA across the board in all courses so I am going in strong there I feel like, I scored an overall 93 on the HESI with an 880 CT score.

In addition to Lonestar I am submitting an application to both Sam Houston State & UTHealth Houston. I would love to jump right into my BSN but my #1 goal is RN and I'll get there whichever way possible & bridge to BSN if I need to. I was also considering TWU but the fee's are starting to add up and now they require double submission of transcripts which adds up quickly.

I'm excited to be a part of this group and hopefully begin the nursing journey together!! Best of luck to everybody as we take the next step towards our future goals. :)

I'm becoming discouraged ������������ My HESI is an 88, which I have to retake regardless because I scored a 73in A&P (hadn't completed it yet) and I completed the classw/ a B afterwards and an A in English.

I think you will need an A in eng 1301 and either ap1 or ap2....unless you scored super super high on the HESI...maybe you can take it the second part of summer and try to get an A? I know the payment for summer classes has already passed, so I'm not sure if you could still do it, but maybe you can still try.

Idk where my score will be because I have an A in Anatomy and I'm retaking english over the summer to get an A (which I should be able to). My Hesi was a 85% with critical thinking of 870. I'm not sure if I should re-take the HESI only because I finally passed my anatomy with an 84% and if i re-take it all my previous scores will be erased. In your opinion, would you recommend re-taking the HESI? I'm not sure what score they cut off for the spring programs.

The cut off last spring was a 7.4 according to the 2018 Hopfuls page. I wouldn't risk that hesi score if you make an A in summer ENGL. If you do make that A your score will be a 7.4 so I think you should be ok.

Those scores are very impressive, congratulations!! I'm sure you'll have no problem getting an acceptance letter.
