Spring 2019 Lone Star Hopefuls

I've decided to make this page for anyone applying for the Spring 2019 ADN program at Lone Star CF/K. I'm so nervous and it's still kinda far away! Good luck!

Online it states that notifications will be sent out in September so hopefully sooner than later!

I think the computer is what sorts out who goes where right? Mrs. Sue (nursing advisor) told me that. They choose the "top 80" she would always emphasize that. So I'm sure they already have the list made up! I'm not sure that they take anything else into consideration...I don't think so. I hope we find out at least this week!

I like the scoring system and I think it lends its hand to a prompter decision being made, but I do think that immunizations and maybe a few other small details might have to be "manually" reviewed. I was really hoping today would be decision day so I could breath a little easier.

Here's to more time waiting on an email!

Yeah, the score system is pretty cut and dried. They literally just take the highest scores and fill the slots, everyone else is an alternate. The only thing they really do is see if everyone has the appropriate titers and forms, so it shouldn't take that long. Does Kingwood have 80 slots?! I think CF only has 40 or 50!

Yes, Kingwood has 80 slots. (I'm pretty sure)

Definitely 80 for KW and definitely 40 for CF! And I never reached out to Tomball to ask about their spots as I was mainly leaning towards CF

Yes I received an email about ferpa. I think it said notification of your rights. Something of that nature.
