I've decided to make this page for anyone applying for the Spring 2019 ADN program at Lone Star CF/K. I'm so nervous and it's still kinda far away! Good luck!
I plan on applying to Lone Star Kingwood for Spring 2019. The only thing I have left to submit is my Hep B titer and Hesi score. I plan to take the Hesi in the next 2 weeks. I have a 4.0 in the prerequisites, so hopefully I do well on the Hesi to obtain a competitive score. My only concern is the Hep B holding me back. I had the initial titer done in April 2018, which was negative, and started the shot series in May. I just found out that the lab report is a qualitative report and not quantitative. I only have one shot left, but final titer will not be done until after the application deadline (but way before semester begins). Question is, will the initial report not being done correctly cause an issue with my application and chances of getting accepted? Is proof that I started the series (2 shots done) enough? Should I upload the qualitative titer with shot records? My doctor did a quantitative titer today when I went in for my second shot. I should have that report next week. I've emailed advisor (out of office until Monday), but I wanted to see if anyone has had a similar issue.
Hello everyone! I have officially applied to the Lonestar ADN program for spring 2019. I am so nervous! My first choice is Cy-Fair and alternate is Kingwood. I will have to go back and look at my scores. I am not quite sure what my total score was. I know it's over 7. I passed the HESI and I know I got a 920 on critical thinking. I have an A in A and P but I had a B in English, since it was taken many moons ago. I have pretty much gotten all the recommended classes done ahead of time. Finishing up medical micro and psychology up in the fall. How soon do we know if we got in? I know it's September. Just wanted to know when I needed to start stalking

Well the application deadline is September 7th and the acceptance letters go out the same month. So I would say mid September:)

I am in the exact situation. I went to an office across town and specified I needed a Quantitative (numerical value) and they sent me a Qualitative report two weeks later. I started the Hep B series today and emailed the school to see if I am still able to apply but no response yet. Did you have to pay again for the quantitative titer?
I dont understand, can some plase explain to me
Documentation of having received the first booster shot of three (3) in the second series of immunizations.
Students with negative HBsAb titers are required to repeat the hepatitis B vaccine series of three (3) immunizations per CDC guidelines, followed by a repeat HBsAb quantitative titer.
Im doing the fast track at Express Family Clinic, I'm on my second shot, and im getting the third one done in two weeks!

I've received mixed responses so I'm thinking it may vary by program, Kingwood & Tomball (back in the fall) said the series had to be started by the time the application is submitted but completed before classes started. Cyfair however informed me that they require the entire series to be completed AND a quantitative titer showing immunuity drawn no sooner than 30 days after the last vaccine to be submitted with the application.
Hi, I don't want to sound dumb but Im going over the electronic application instructions, and when I go on the website and log in, I don't see an "application" tab or the "score sheet" tab like it indicates per the instructions. Am I missing something?? How do I access those?
Usually if you don't meet all the requirements, the log in won't go past the first page. Did you transfer? Because sometimes you have to call for the transfer credits to be approved by the nursing director.

That's where I'm doing my vaccine series at currently. You were able to get titers drawn with them also?
I didn't even think to look into it there. Lol
