Spring 2018 Forsyth Tech ADN Program

Published

Just wanted to post a topic for all of those applying this fall for the Spring 2018 nursing program at Forsyth Tech. There have been plenty of times I've had questions about what to do and I thought we could support each other. I'll start, how do nursing classes work? do you take one per semester or a few?

I've been checking techlink daily. Usually twice a day haha. This feels similar to when my husband and I were trying for our babies. Taking pregnancy tests way too early knowing they won't show anything yet í ½í¸‚í ½í¸‚

On my techlink under "web advisor for students" the only options are "financial information" and "communication". Is there supposed to be an option for academic program? Or will that option not even show up until the change is made?

Techlink - Register now - academics - student planning - my progress. It should say "Gen Occup Tech - Associate Degree Nursing" now. It should change to "Associate Degree Nursing" if you're accepted.

Found it! Thank you so much! :)

In case anyone else is tempted to email, this is the response that I got. Pretty sure she's saying, chill out nursing candidate, you'll know when we know. :)

I am glad to hear that you submitted an application for spring 2018. The deadline for applicants for spring 2018 admission was 9/21/2017. Please allow admissions time to process the applications. Admissions will notify applicants in a few weeks. Every admission process is different, depending on the application cycle; so please do not use the experiences of past applicants to cause yourself additional worries about when you will receive information.

I know that it may be hard due the anticipation, but try not to worry; and I hope that you will receive an answer soon. Please feel free to follow up with admissions if you have any questions about the application process. I hope that you have a great week, and think positive thoughts!

Best Wishes,

Ms. Harrison

Hello! I have applied to the spring 2018 nursing program and I have 162 points total. I just got accepted into GTCC nursing program but I am waiting to see if I get into Forsyth. I believe that Forsyth will be my number one choice if I do get accepted.

Last time GTCC was like 3 weeks sooner than fcc

162 is a solid number of points. You shouldn't have any trouble getting in at FTCC :). Best of luck!

Does anyone know how long it takes to show up on the nurse aide registry after you take and pass your test? I've taken and passed the skills, but they rescheduled my written exam and now i don't take it until october 13. If I pass, should it show up before the 11/1 deadline?

I took my CNA exam on August 25. I was in the registry by sep 1. You should show up fairly soon after but I still haven't received any mail correspondence for it. I'd say as long as you have at least 2 weeks leeway, you should be fine :)

Anyone else completely out of patience today? I feel like all I'm doing is reloading techlink and stalking the mailman. Last year, techlink changed on Oct 2 but, we'll see how it goes this semester. I will post here as soon as one of my 100,000 reloads shows a change :).

Try not to stress yourself out over it! I think last year the deadline was earlier than this year. It's so hard but I'm trying to refrain from looking more than once a day for the next week or so! Letters take even longer. I'm not expecting that until mid October.
