Spring 2018 Forsyth Tech ADN Program

Published

Just wanted to post a topic for all of those applying this fall for the Spring 2018 nursing program at Forsyth Tech. There have been plenty of times I've had questions about what to do and I thought we could support each other. I'll start, how do nursing classes work? do you take one per semester or a few?

Thank you :). I'm extremely type A so it's hard when things are out of my control.

Same here!! I always have techlink open in tabs on my phone and computer so I can check daily (more like a million times a day). I'm usually a patient person but not with this! I'm too excited! I'll post as soon as I see a change too :) (hopefully everyone's will change on the same day??)

You sound exactly like me. I'm about to post a thread for people that are waiting for acceptance letters just so we have something to do while we wait :).

Not trying to give you something else to check, but if you sign up for informed delivery from USPS you will know when your letter is coming early in the AM on the day it arrives! Our mail doesn't get delivered until late so I love having this :D :D :D If our CNA and CPR are due by Nov. 1st, does this mean that's the day the nursing orientation will be? I have to plan my work schedule so far in advance, ugh.

Totally signing up for this now. In past years, orientation has been sometime around the last week or two of October. I think they set that date for after the meeting so we all know what to turn in.

How many total points does everyone have

I have 162. I wonder if I will get in!

Most years the bottom points total is between 145 and 155. I don't think you have anything to worry about :)

I have 154.3 and the range of points keeps going down every semester! Didn't get in for the fall and I busted my butt retaking classes and made an A and studied so hard for the TEAS hopefully it will pay off soon.

I have 157! The admissions counselor said it's a comfortable amount of points but I'm nervous! It's different every year! Hoping the trend stays the same

This is from a student that started last year in reference to schedule: Hey you'll get it super late. You'll draw for it on one of the first days of class. I think I had Monday class (lecture) 8-12 and lab 1-4. Tuesday lab 8-12. Wednesday lecture 8-12 and lab 1-4. And clinical 6-2. I think. But you'll draw for them in class
