Spring 2018 Forsyth Tech ADN Program

Published

Just wanted to post a topic for all of those applying this fall for the Spring 2018 nursing program at Forsyth Tech. There have been plenty of times I've had questions about what to do and I thought we could support each other. I'll start, how do nursing classes work? do you take one per semester or a few?

Hello! Welcome to the thread. :)

I didnt get into the nursing program for the Fall 2017 but I am reapplying again after taking my summer classes giving me more points. I now have 149 points going for the nursing program and am retaking my teas test in September!

Have you already done your MAR? Some people have said that even though they took summer classes they still allowed them to complete their MAR before 8/28. I feel like waiting that late doesn't give me long to take then retake my TEAS if necessary. :|

I have not completed my MAR review yet, I am just going to wait until August 28th! As long as you study really hard for the TEAS you will be fine! I had to take it twice in February to get in for the fall and it is tough!

Hi everyone! MAR review time is coming up and I am so excited! I'm going to complete my MAR review the afternoon of the 28th to give myself plenty of time to take the TEAS before the deadline. Has anyone else found out the cost of the TEAS?

If I remember it was around $70

In case anyone wants any more information, I completed my MAR yesterday afternoon. I have 85 points going into the TEAS. Today I received my email stating I was eligible to take the TEAS with testing dates and times (the dates go up to September 11 and are all in the morning hours, fyi). I chose this Thursday at 9 AM. So, I'll be studying until then and I'll update everyone after I've taken the TEAS and know my points. Also, the TEAS costs $58 dollars this year. Good luck all!

I did great on my TEAS!!! I made an 81.3 and since my total points are 166.3, the TEAS advisor said that solidifies my spot in the Spring ADN program. Now to wait for everyone to finish applying and get my acceptance letter :). Good luck all!

Great job on your TEAS! I took my TEAS today. I ran out of time to review ANY science and it hurt my score- but I made a 78 so I'm okay. My goal was 80. I have 158 points now. She said it's a "solid" amount of points. It still makes me nervous. I'm contemplating whether to retake it or not after reviewing some science stuff. I'm dreading this month of waiting to see if i'm accepted!

I'm sure you'll be fine. Honestly, I'm not sure how much retaking it would help because it is so random. Most of the bottom points haven't went higher than 150ish the last few years. Keep us posted!!
