Spring 2016 El Centro College/ NLC ADN

Published

I know that it's VERY early right now to start gearing up for the Spring 2016 admission but I thought I'd start this post early seeing as I have already started taking my final classes, preparing to take the Hesi A2 test and submitting all my other documents for the program. If all goes well, I will be between 30 and 34 points. How many points do you think you'll be at when it's time to apply for the 2016 spring entry? What's the lowest score that they have accepted for previous entries? Are there any single mothers, such as I, who will be applying for the nursing program? Hope to hear more from others who are getting ready to join. Would love to get lots of feedback!!!!!

I have a brand new lab kit for BIOL-2420. This is the course required for nursing program (ADN) in 2nd semester in NLC and El Centro... The student needs to buy the lab kit, in case you are taking this course online. I bought the brand new but dropped the course because of personal reasons.

The lab kit price is $299. With shipping and sales tax, it comes in $343.29. I have the invoice as well.

I am willing to sale it in 250 dollars. If interested, please email me at [email protected]

Can anyone help me please? I took the hesi for the first time in Jan. and got a 98 in Math, 88 in A&P and 76 in english as a combo. Obvioulsy, not okay with my english score so i'm trying to retake it. When I emailed 5tests they just registered me for an exam for tomorrow (3/11/16) and didn't let me pick a date or anything, and I work full time so I had to get off and all this blah blah, im rambling not the point. haha the point is, if I am not happy with my scores from tomorrow, it says I can take it twice a month, how do I sign up to take it again if all the slots at northlake/el centro are full?

Does anyone know where else I can sign up to retake my HESI multiple times or how or anything?! PLEASE! i'm desperate!

Hey what did they asked you in the interview. I have my interview with Methodist next Thursday.

Have any of you done LVN? If so what did your hesi scores look like? I just took the hesi and got an overall 85.2 I know this is a bit low compared to others who have done way better on the Hesi. I am a first time taker. I'm planning on retaking it in May. Any thoughts?

This nursing program stuff gives me high anxiety! I don't know what to expect next! I've spoken to someone that says i may not be able to get in because i have Scit 1407 and 1408, (anatomy and physiology), i took the Hesi in 2013, I have to retake that. Do I need to take Biology 2401 and 2? I also hear that the Scits dont transfer in the universities. I'm rambling I know. But Gheeesh! i almost want to say screw it! and apply for the LVN just to get my foot in the door! How does that Nursing pathways work for UTA? Oh and I have an Associates in Science already. Any suggestions? I had mostly Bs but c's in Micro and Chem. I dont wanna take them over though. LOL!

Hey! If anyone has the readings for any class please email them to me at: [email protected]

Thanks so much! Got my books and I'm ready to start reading [emoji106]🏾

Sent you our schedule from last semester. Good luck!

Can anyone tell me what time skills lab is for students that got the morning VA instructor? The day's say M/R/F but no times are on the schedule.

Honestly, you may not find out until orientation at the beginning of the semester. That was a sore subject with a lot of students last semester. People wanted to try and make arrangements with work and it was almost impossible without knowing. Because some students had skills broken up into 2 days a week, or like me, had it all in one day once a week.

Application priority mailed today with 24 points

A lot of my previously completed classes were not on the extra point list. I am not going to hold my breath, but it is worth a shot to apply!

Time to sit back and wait!!

Hi @PD82, LVN,

when you mailed your application did you have any problems with it being received and sent to the correct area? I ask because due to the recent shooting downtown applicants that have not already turned in their application will have to mail them since the school is closed til after the deadline. I'm nervous of the option of mailing but at this point its my only option since the deadline is in 3 days.

they have extended the deadline

they have extended the deadline

Thanks for feedback. Are you in the program already or applying? if applying how many points will you be applying with?
